Really disappointed with my visit the other day. Ordered a pepperoni and mushrooms pizza, a Hawaiian pizza, and smoked traditional wings.
None of it was good.
First off, the wings. They were so unbelievably dry. I asked for my sauce on the side so I could try them without it first. The wings were dry as cardboard. The BBQ sauce helped a little, but dry meat is dry meat.
The flavor was fine. But nothing that would pique your attention. As someone who lived in Texas for three years, these are not “pitmaster” quality wings.
Then there were the pizzas. Those were even more disappointing. For all the reviews saying they are generous with their toppings, I couldn’t find it to be further from the truth. Compared to some other local pizza places I’ve reviewed, Pitmaster’s without a doubt had the least amount of toppings.
Scroll through to my review of Pizza Point in Coshocton to compare their toppings versus Pitmaster’s. It’s a night and day difference.
Then there was the flavor of the sauce. I won’t say it was just like ketchup, but it wasn’t far off from it. It felt like the sauce was just out of a jar from the supermarket. The only thing that was noteworthy is it was somewhat tangy.
And the price for what you get is not a good value. Small pizzas, big price. Not a winning combo there. When compared to some other local places I eat at, it just doesn’t stack up.
I’d say you are better off with chain pizza places even. Domino’s is definitely better, Papa John’s probably is, and I’ve had much better wings at Pizza Hut.
A family member that I was eating lunch with actually said Digiorno frozen pizzas are better quality. And they cost what, $8, for one twice the size of these?
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews. But man, this was such a huge miss. Nothing about the food stood out as positive. Real disappointing considering the reviews that say this place has great food.

First impression was when I picked up the pizza box and it felt empty..should have known something..then opened up and it was the thinnest skimpiest most uneven cut pizza I ever had…and the. The tase was not good..sauce just tasted like a bad tomato sauce..at $25 a pizza will not go back again

Great pizza at a reasonable price. Easy to get to from the bike trail, they even have stairs coming up from the trail. It is not well marked when you come from the trail, and the inside is much nicer than the outside.

Update: they have a minimum delivery of $25. Never heard of such a thing. Kinda tough to compete with all of the pizza places that will deliver any dollar amount.
Just tried out the Brisket Sandwhich. The meat is done the way it should be. The jalapeños seem to be fresh and crisp. There is the right amount of ingredients on the sandwich and the sauce works well with the brisket. Great sandwich and I’m ready to try something else In the future.

we love pizza. We do weekly pizza nights at our house so I love finding new places to try. I think this is our current favorite. We got the pulled pork pizza with everything on it, and it was amazing. Crust was chewy, but not soggy. It was crunchy. It was flavorful. It was amazing! And we got the mild smoked traditional wings and again, amazing! We will be coming again to try more!

Our family walked into this little pizza shop on our visit to Millersburg. This is such a nice family oriented spot. It was wonderfully peaceful! No loud music or TVs. The pizza and bread sticks were good. They were hot and fresh out of the oven. The staff was pleasant. We enjoyed the ice cream shoppe also with the self-serve toppings! Lastly enjoyed reading about this family run business with pictures on the wall. Thank you for a nice place for a family to stop in! We will recommend and hope to stop in again!

We were visiting from out of town and called in carry out as we were passing through. We had no expectations but were blown away – the chicken bacon ranch sandwich would be worth driving hours for, breadsticks were delicious and straight out of the oven, and their salad was great too! Wish we lived closer, because we’d definitely become regulars!
