I hadn’t been to Pitchers in years and didn’t have any food this time. I hear they have fantastic Tuesday evening chicken dinners so I’ll get to try it when on another road trip.
Pitchers is a friendly, comfortable bar and restaurant.
Now I’ve returned several times and their broasted chicken is delicious! The buffet includes a salad bar with several housemade salads (potato, macaroni, pea, etc. that he changes by whim), baked or mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, baked beans, and dessert. Baked chicken was also added to the buffet. I didn’t try it, but my dining companion said it was tender and juicy – very good!
The buffet is $11. Drinks are inexpensive. Small town hospitality and chatter is free and fun.
