Stopped at Pitas in Paradise for a quick lunch before heading on to Crested Butte. You order at the counter & the food is brought out to you. I got the Falafel Pita & added twister fries. Hubs got the Thai Rice bowl & added gyro meat to the top. They had generous portions. We sat outside on the picnic tables. Service was quick & we left with full.

Not from Gunnison, so I usually stop when I’m in town, which used to be quite frequently. We ate there on Monday the 20th and have to say it was good but not like it used to be! Kinda disappointed in the OG, their signature gyro. Mine had way too much white sauce for the amount of meat. It had lettuce but nothing else. I could have sworn it used to come with red onions and cucumbers or some sort of vegetables as well? It was plain! They seemed to have more meat at one time. The other OG’s that I seen were about the same size. BTW, the OG is the only thing I ever eat here. The Greek salad was good! Will I eat there again? Probably.

Friends love this place and I have to agree! We grabbed some gyros right before closing and ate them on the patio. Was great after traveling into town and conveniently close to the grocery store. The chips on the side were also a nice addition!

Called in an order during happy hour, was asked what side I wanted with no mention that the haopy hour sandwich doesnt come with a side, or that the fries are a $3 up charge. Paid $23.75 for an order that should have been $14 with extra meat. They barely gave me any fries at all, and I had to go back in and ask for more. Food is mediocre at best, and a straight up ripoff on price. I should have left without food, and saved $23.75 for something way better and more filling.

The good is great, but we added chicken to our $8 half size rice bowl and were charged $6 for that chicken.

I read a review that there were “amazing” vegan pitas here so we came by and great vegan options were also advertised right on the door/window of the restaurant. We instead found a weird mashup of sports bar advertising Mediterranean food. None of the pitas were actually vegan but I was able to order the “teriyaki tofu” without sauce or cheese. It came completely dry with bland, unseasoned, over-fried tofu without a hint of teriyaki and a couple vegetables topped with lots of old lettuce. The fried pickle spears were the weirdest, saddest thing we have ever seen. They were tiny little strings of (pickle??? Maybe???) covered in massive amounts of batter that was so wet and greasy and over-fried that it was dark brown. Overall disappointing.

What a great spot. We’ve visited the crested butte spot a few times over the years and had great experiences but today in Gunnison was top-notch. We are both veggies and ordered the falafel pita and the teriyaki tofu pita – both were some of the best pitas we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the drink list, the staff was friendly and helpful and our dogs loved sitting in the shade on the patio. Might even stop back thru again on our way home…

Decent restaurant in Gunnison, not too from RT50. Service was good, but could have been better. Employees seemed to be just going through the motions. The portion of fries I was served for $5 was very small and not fresh. Would possibly try again.

Great curry, very flavorful and authentic. Large portions, especially for the price, and an amazing habanero margarita!

Pulled pork Pita was excellent!! The chips on the side were just regular potato chips but the pita made up for it! The Thai rice bowl was okay but seemed to be made of packaged frozen veggies without fresh veggies. Excellent service – fast thorough and friendly.
