Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or bringing dinner home for the family, you can’t go wrong here. The gyros, chicken shawarma, and hummus are all outstanding. This has quickly become one of our favorite local spots!
Highly recommend — Dyer is lucky to have a place like this!
I dined in and had the chicken pita, fries and additional spicy ziki sauce ($0.50) and no drink. It was $18.30. To me that’s on the expensive side, feel like it should have been around $12-14. Took about 10 minutes to get the food from ordering. Restaurant is small but clean floor, clean seats and tables.
Food came out extremely hot, couldn’t even eat it for 5-7 minutes.
Chicken pita was good, I don’t have anything to compare it too as this was my first one. Chicken was cooked, and seasoned well. Didnt come with many onions, will ask for extra next time.
Fries were great, some sort of seasoning on them, really enjoyable.
The spicy ziki sauce was good as well, sucks it is an additional $0.50. However, the cup you get is large and extremely fairly sized, only used about half of it with all the fries and gyro.
Will be going back later this week to try online ordering and a regular gyro and will update my review.
First, when we called in the order we were told the order would be ready in 45 minutes. But we received a call about 30 minutes later saying our food was ready, which means our food was probably sitting out for 5 or 10 minutes before they even called. I have to say that because of this the food probably wasn’t consumed for a good 45 minutes after it was made and yes, the food was cold when I was handed the bag. Although in my opinion I don’t think the food would have been much better when it was hot.
The food itself was Food Service quality. What little red sauce that was used on the Signature Grinder, the Mama Parmigiani chicken sandwich was only useful in coloring the bun. The chicken patties we’re clearly Frozen preformed and perfectly round as the day they were made at the food processing plant.
As for the Signature Chicken “Dinner” it was clearly seasoned chicken breast cut into strips on rice. A couple of cubes of feta and a pepperoncini along with seasoned canned green beans.
After paying $40 for this “delicious” meal, the woman at the counter said “Grab a can of soda out of the fridge behind ya, it comes with the dinner”.
This was definitely not the experience that I was expecting. But since I’ve never been here before, I don’t know what the food was like in the past. This was just my impression of the service and food we ordered at the Pita Stop at the time of this review.
The food was hot, fresh and quite good, though the fries had a bit more seasoning than I like. For what I got, amd considering this is a small business, I felt the price was fair.
As someone else noted, it is a bit of a weird entrance of you come in from the back entrance. You have to walk down a hall to get to the door, which was rather strange, but certainly doesn’t take away from the business. There is a door at the front of the building as well, which I dont imagine gets used much l, as the parking is all in the back.
They do have limited seating inside. Six tables total. Five of which have two chairs each, and one with four.
The lady who took my order was friendly. I will come back if I’m in the area again and feeling like a gyro.
