The owner/chef is super friendly and carries an amazing vibe! The food tastes insanely good, no matter what you take! Good food + amazing owner makes this my favorite spot in Amherst! The owner will always go a step forward for you and serve his delicious falafel dish as a complimentary item! I cannot recommend this place strongly enough, you have to try it out!

The owner/chef was incredibly friendly! Food was hot, fresh, and tasty. I’d say it’s reasonably priced given the portion size (anywhere between $11.50-$14.50 depending on how many fillings you get). Owner also gave a falafel on the house which was delicious! Definitely worth checking out.

Pita Pocket at Amherst should be the expectation of all food vendors. Joseph was incredibly friendly, kind, and really made us feel the hard work and passion he puts into his food, and towards his customers. Though I was only in the area for a week, my friends and I came back to see him on several occasions to try his food, along with his homemade products. He was interested in the music we were recording (since we were in the area to record an album), and knew the lives of the majority of the customers that stopped by, showing his care for the community. Most likely the first and only time a quick stop for food felt like going home for lunch.

Best gyro we’ve had in decades! The falafel was outstanding with a good crisp to the pieces and flavorful thru out. We had the pita chips with hummus and the container of hummus was more than we could eat. Deliciousness! Absolutely delightful. We saw a lot of locals there as it appeared to be popular. I can’t recommend this place more. The fella running the place was super nice and accommodating.

I regularly place large orders for a class I manage here at UMass Amherst! I have never had such a seamless and beautiful experience! I am sitting here writing one of the only reviews I have ever written in my life, because I just felt I needed to share the experience! WOW!
I arrived a few minutes early to pay and the bring out the food, Hot and ready to go! Everything was labeled and ready to go! The gentleman working the register was the most kind soul, offering to load it in my car and he even offered a free dessert and drink for me!
What an amazing business and more than anything, what amazing people!

This guy is actually the coolest most chill human on the planet and deserves all the love in the world. Food absolutely smacked. The shawarma I had was tender, juicy, and had an excellent crunch to it. The pomegranate molasses really brought the entire dish together. Will 100% go again.
