The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and there are a few tables to sit at.
Being this is my first time, I will mention while writing this in a little annoyed because I didn’t look at the menu close enough but the owner at the counter shoulder and could’ve took me this when ordering.
I ordered the lamb gyro which was overstuffed and delicious. He asked if I wanted lettuce tomatoes and onion and I said yes (this is usually on a gyro). Quickly scanning the menu advice, I didn’t see any option to make the gyro a combination with fries, so I ordered the side of fries $6.50.
While sitting to eat, I was looking over the menu more and noticed that there was an option to make any sandwich an original which means….. add fries instead of lettuce tomatoes for $1. I would’ve gone this route if I saw that.
I guess live and learn, my mistake but he should’ve told me of that option.
Next time and I will let him know this, but I will not let it negatively affect my review.
(Update) another person just came in and ordered the same so I opened my mouth to let him know about the $1 option. The owner then said that it was fried in the sandwich). I never heard of that option but at least I know, you can only order the side of fried, they should have a combo price.
The Gyro is amazing!
The menu had pretty wide selections for a takeaway, but we decided to enjoy our meals at one of their tables. We were particularly excited to try the Greek style gyros with french fries instead of lettuce. Haven’t seen that too many places outside of Greece itself. We even had an opportunity to meet the owner that day who is from the Greek islands, which explains the emphasis on tradition.
The place was sparkling clean. There were even flowers on the garbage cans! Everything about our experience was excellent and we look forward to returning frequently whenever the occasion calls for a high quality Mediterranean/Aegean meal.
When I saw and smelled it, I lost all willpower and ate half of the sandwich in the lot. The gyro was STUFFED. The pita actually laid nearly flat because it was so overfilled. The meat is fantastic, as was the white sauce, and texture of the pita. I grew up on the south shore and had my favorite Greek spot in my area. Hate to admit it, but Pita Craft blows them out of the water. At least with while gyro. I look forward to returning and trying more things. Best gyro I’ve ever had.
Been going at least once a week now.
