Very casual place, just on north side of Lake Livingston. I had the Chicken Fried Stake, “BAM!!!” Was that good, huge and thick, full of flavor. Good job. Others in my group had fried seafood, burgers, BBQ, everyone was impressed. This place resides within the an RV Park “Lagoon Ranch Luxury RV & Cabin Resort” on hwy 356 near Onalaska.

We took one of those crazy road trips throughout Texas and came to this spot. The Owner Frankie, came to say hi to us, gave free ice cream to our boy, and the staff is crazy friendly! This is a gem for those like us that appreciate, good food, good service, and good prices on a peaceful area. They had a drink called sour caramel apple, it tasted like jolly rancher! They had live music tonight by Zac Jimenez… OMG! the perfect get away we desperately needed. We definitely will be back!! It is located inside Lagoon Ranch RV park, but you don’t have to be staying to eat here. Totally recommend it !

We tried it today. Mixed emotions. I had the two meat bbq plate. It was good, but the portion size was very disappointing. I got two ribs, and two slices of brisket. Not enough meat for almost $20.00. The potato salad was whipped to much, I’m more of a chunky potato salad guy. The cole slaw could have used a little pineapple juice in it. Now the bbq here was better than Mrs. Jeans, but, Mrs. Jeans gives you more food. It’s a trade off.

Cool place, not at all what I was expecting. Inside an RV resort, but with an excellent view of the lake. They really needed to have live music. That really would set this place off. Our waitress was quick and friendly. We started with Onion Rings and Chili Cheese Fries. The onion rings are absolutely great, large fork tender onion with crispy exterior that sticks. Chili on the fries was really good as well.
Steak fingers seasoned well with good breading. Real mashed potatoes and real gravy too.
Fried shrimp could have been seasoned a bit more but not bad. They were cooked excellently with a crispy exterior that didn’t fall off after the first bite.
Its not exactly to me but I will be back.

First, what a great place with a great view. They have a full bar. The brisket was amazing as was that loaded fries with brisket. Also had Frito pie. The service was top notch. That view of the lake was quite a topping to our dinner.

Great restaurant and full bar! Even has a couple pool tables for entertainment but also kid friendly not a bar! Food portions were huge and great! For dinner in the off season on a Wednesday night they still had Karaoke for entertainment! Lakeview was nice too!

Our server Lindsay was fantastic, food was incredible, I had the ribeye tacos, very seasoned and delicious, hubby had a smash burger, also amazing. Very busy on a Friday night but staff was on point and accommodating.

Nice place, but hard to find. The view of the lake is nice. The kitchen view is not good. They should keep the doors closed.
Chicken fried chicken was not great, no flavor. Green beans were cold. Mashed potatoes were OK. Cream gravy was good.
My wife enjoyed her baked potato with rib meat. Onion rings were good. All in all, was ok, and why 3 stars.
