Pistone’s Italian Inn is truly a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and nostalgic 70s-style décor immediately set the mood — the wooden accents and classic atmosphere gave such a cozy, timeless feel.
The food was absolutely amazing — each dish was flavorful, fresh, and made with care. Every bite felt like authentic Italian comfort food at its best.
The service was superior. The staff checked in with us regularly, making sure we had everything we needed, and they went above and beyond in every way. They even helped us serve the birthday cake we brought in, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ended up sharing a few slices with the staff because they were all so kind and attentive — and they genuinely felt like part of the celebration.
It’s rare to find a restaurant where both the food and hospitality shine equally, but Pistone’s nailed it. Everyone was so nice, the vibe was pleasant, and the experience was memorable from start to finish.
If you’re looking for amazing Italian food, superior service, and a beautiful throwback atmosphere, Pistone’s Italian Inn is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Our first time here and really do recommend. Exquisite, excellent linguine freshly made. We order Crabmeat Linguine and Linguine clams. Taste very delicious. Service very friendly and the place have live music very enjoyable. So gladly stop by here.

Terrific Italian dinner! I got white pizza with pepperoni. Very good. Garlic for days lol. Husband got chicken piccata, which is not on the menu but they were happy to make it. It was excellent. William was our server and he was very friendly and attentive. We love old school places and this definitely fits the bill!!

Moderately priced and not far from the capital, this Italian restaurant offers a decent selection of lunch portions of your favorite Italian dishes. The kids’ menu has some good options like chicken parm and pizza, which my children enjoyed. Our server, Sebastian, was an absolute rockstar—friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better.
The atmosphere is low key, leaning towards semi-formal or business casual, which suited our needs perfectly. While the restaurant itself feels a bit dated, it somehow adds to its charm rather than detracting from it. We’ll definitely return when we’re back in DC.

Come for the food – it’s amazing (American-)Italian. The fettuccine veal ragu is so good I went back to enjoy it again. Have not had a dish I wouldn’t order again.
The decor is outdated – so you might think of it as “quaint/kitschy” or just old. Servers work very hard but they were understaffed in the two visits I made this quarter. So its all about the food here

Great ambiance! Live music and bar are far enough away to no disturb dinner conversation. Very good food and portion sizes. My ciopinno was acceptable but loaded with mussels and shrimp. There was no octopus or squid or anything resembling Adriatic seafood. Desserts were excellent as was the service. However, the restrooms need remodeling.

First time review. Food was excellent! A throwback to the hardwood interior full service restaurant! Awsome fun bar with live entertainment. The staff was personable and on point with food and drink suggestions. The menu had everything anybody could
want Italian. So much fun for a Tuesday. A local favorite and it will be yours as well if you give it a visit. Tell them Giovanni and John the Driver sent you!

Went to this horrible restaurant atmosphere was a very weird smell of old and rot the celling on the entrance looked like it was gonna collapse. I ordered lasagna but it looked like they dumped a whole can of tomato paste and didn’t taste like if it were cooked right I also got lobster but barely had meat and was manly the shell the drinks did not taste fresh but had a taste of old soda I am not satisfied with this place fix it.
