The fried chicken was terrible as you can see in the photo. It was juicy but lacking flavor and the coating was gritty and overcooked. Stick to your bbq which is fabulous.

We had the chicken nachos, jalapeno sausage, drums, and chicken strips. All were amazing!!! Seriously. The fried okra and fries were also top notch. We are counting this as one of our regular spots for the future because the food was on point and the prices were, too. We can’t wait to be regulars here!

We stopped on our way back to Waverly, GA. It was lunch time and the place was just about full. The selection of bbq sauces was excellent; I had two favorites so I mixed them together. The food was hot a tasty!

Great sandwiches!! A little upsetting they do not have brunswick stew but only a chili option. Aside from that this place was fantastic. I added a little seasoning to my collards when I got home and their sweet potato fries barely made it home! Highly recommend.

Awful service , cold food . Nope just no. The girl that took my order was beyond perplexed that I wanted to order food and when I asked her for sauce after I got my bland food you would have swore she had never heard of SUCH an outlandish question in her entire life. I was nice , I always am. She was rude and needs to do better. For the price the food could have atleast been WARM lol. Sad. NO good bbq in SC and no good service either. Will not go back. Thank you !

The BBQ was great with a number of different sauces. The spicy red was spicy. You cannot purchase by the pound but they do sell generous plates and sandwiches from a variety of meats. They also have a range of sides, including all those you expect from a southern BBQ place. The pulled pork was great, but the brisket was a bit dry – it was late in the day though. The French fries were tremendous and I don’t usually get fries with BBQ.
They have outdoor covered seating as well as indoor seating.
The facility I saw was clean and efficient.

We just happened to find this gem on a trip back home from PA. Some of the best pulled pork ever with unbelievably good sauces – from Carolina vinegar to mustard-based to spicy reds (they sell them too). I cut my pulled pork sandwich into fourths and tried them all. It’s hard to decided which one I liked best. The pork was very lean and moist – no mouthful of fat at this place. The slaw was really good on my sandwich, and I added a concoction of their sauces because that’s how I like it. I also had a side of their fried okra, which was very good. I didn’t have room for their “hand spun” milkshake but I hope to try it another time. This place is 3 hours from home, but I’m already begging to come back. I want to try their ribs, which are only on the menu on Thursdays and Fridays.

We visited Cherry Point Chicken & BBQ on a Wednesday mid afternoon. At that time of the day, the restaurant was not crowded and so it was very easy to find a table either inside or outside.
Upon entering the restaurant, we approached an order counter with a menu board on the wall behind it. My son ordered the daily special, a fried pork chop sandwich with pickled onions that he said was fantastic. I’ll have to take his word for it because he did not share any of it with me. My granddaughter and wife ordered the pulled pork. I thought I had ordered pulled chicken, but I ended up receiving pulled pork instead. The server apologized and offered to switch my order, but I declined since I like pulled pork too. The server brought a sample of pulled chicken to the table for me to try since that was what I intended to get. I liked the way that the staff at the restaurant tried to make things right for their customers even though it very well could have been me who made the mistake when ordering.
I really liked the pulled pork. Both the pork and the chicken were pulled perfectly and seasoned with a hint of pepper. The house BBQ sauce complimented their meats very well.
As for our sides, I ordered a baked potato salad and collard greens. The potato salad was rich and creamy and the collards were tasty with that earthy flavor that I love. Everybody else got baked beans and enjoyed them, and my wife ordered some fries that she liked as well. We also ordered some hush puppies to enjoy with our meals which were quite good, savory with a hint of sweetness.
I definitely would like to return soon to try their fried chicken since I’m always looking for a good fried chicken place and, after all, chicken is in Cherry Point’s name. But my first visit here was enjoyable, the food was tasty, and the staff was friendly. It was a very nice experience.

Delicious BBQ, great sides, amazing fried chicken
The boys got pulled pork plates which included coleslaw and 2 sides. The portions were good and the baked potato salad is super good. Our youngest got the smoked wings which were good.
I had the fried chicken plate which was amazing. The juiciest chicken I have ever had.
The hushpuppies were crispy outside and soft on the inside. The fried mushrooms are also good. Lots of sauces to choose from and all were good.
They were busy but the customer service was good. Zoe was very friendly and welcoming.
