Visited for the first time and we really enjoyed the food. The ambience is 3 out of 5 but the food is 5/5. The haleem, bijli chicken and goat dum biryani were delicious and fresh. I loved bijli chicken. The sweet paan wasn’t that great either but overall very satisfied. Check out their prices as I felt it was little pricier but I guess that’s how it is everywhere due to inflation.

This is not authentic Hyderabadi food if you are looking for that specific taste . It is nothing close to Hyderabadi food . As Italians take pride in authentic Italian food Hyderabadi’s take pride in the authentic food .
Bathroom : had unbearable smell and not at all acceptable awful
Food : fake names
Mutton dum biryani was more like Palau with achar mixed ( $20 overpriced )
Haleem :was ok but in small quantity ,Over priced
Not worth even worth $5 but they are charging $20
Overall I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Hyderabadi food

Had an amazing time talking to the owner and his wife who were very welcoming and focused on every detail of my food order. The food here is authentic and the goat haleem is to die for.

I’ve been around NY and NJ plenty of times for biryani and I can say nothing beats these guys. They have an amazing selection of dishes and the ambiance is very nice to have a family dinner.

I will definitely be driving back again to have that delicious biryani and fried fish 🙂

Absolutely wonderful little hidden gem in hicksville/bethpage area. DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT FOR LUNCH.

They Offer a 10 dollar lunch special!!

The owner is incredibly friendly.
Impeccable service. I got my food out in under 5 minutes.

The biryani here is one of the best I’ve tasted since moving from queens.

Flavourful. Just the right amount of spice. AND THE SAUCES (especially the green mint sauce) offer a cooling effect to every bite.

All in all I would highly recommend stopping by.

This place is mind blowing! Great service and amazing food. We had ordered seekh kebabs as appetizers which were served with a mint chutney and a mayo dip. They were absolutely delicious! For the main course we had chicken zalzala with rice and chicken dum biryani. Both the dishes were fantastic. Chicken zalzala had a very rich and creamy flavor and I savored every bite of it. Biryani was served in a clay pot with a large portion size. We finished with Malai and falooda mulgi sticks. Must visit if y’all want good Indian food. This place won’t disappoint you.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this place. The customer service was terrible—rude staff who seemed completely uninterested in helping. We waited two hours for our food, only to receive the wrong order. When we brought it to their attention, they were dismissive and unapologetic. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking. Definitely not worth the time or money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Hi Foodies! Firstly sorry this would be a bit long review but it’s worth reading.

“Briefly- Please I don’t suggest anyone going to this restaurant” Also just don’t see name and go it’s not the same taste as pistahouse everywhere.

We went to this restaurant on Friday all the way from Boston. We called the restaurant before we reach the place whether everything is available and is it OK if we order over the phone. They said us to order over the phone. Our order was 4 haleem, 2 Mutton biryani , 1 chicken biryani, panner tikka and couple of Non- veg appetizers.

Coming to the service, A lady was serving our table she got the appetizer, haleem and the biryani. Then we recognized the quantity of biryani was way too less. As the bowl was shallow. As seen in the pictures. We asked the lady the biryani quantity is too less her response with rude behavior was ” we served you more quantity then what we generally get” we were like Ok thought not to argue with her.

Coming to taste, The haleem is tasteless generally we see haleem with ghee but here they have water in it you can see that in the pictures. Coming to panner Tikka there is spices nor salt just the food color. Then we called them and asked what is this they accept that panner was marinated 1 hour back so it was there mistake and said will remove from the bill. Haleem they said they would replace it. They replaced the haleem and got the same haleem which is of water instead of ghee. Coming to biryani, mutton biryani was too salty we can’t even eat. Chicken biryani they are out that I guess. We got mutton meat in it and that was also salty as it was the same rice just added the chicken meat to it.

Coming to billing, Initially over bill was around 284 something after taking out the above said items. It came down to 160.

Thanks for reading. I hope this would be helpful.

Two Words:
Weekend Buffet
This is NOT your regular Indian restaurant as they serve delicious dishes you won’t find at your regular everyday vegetarian and chicken tikka masala based Indian restaurants.
If you’re interested in expanding your Indian food experience the weekend buffet at Pista House is a great place to start.
They have plenty of vegetarian dishes as well as non-vegetarian options, all deliciously spicy and flavorful.
Great hidden gem in Hickville.
