Searched “best tacos near Irving Dallas” and found ourselves here, barely 3 miles from embassy suites DFW. What a gem! CASH and Zelle only. Had the chorizo burrito, chilaquiles (a teensy lip burner for this Hawaiian),potato cheese taco (nice, mild and filling with a delicious green sauce), and a barbecoa taco plate. The cooks threw in two tamales and I wished they threw in a few more I would definitely get that and freeze to take home! As you can see this place is located inside the Payless store that was filled with libations and ice cream. So happy to have this for our last dinner in Dallas. Highly recommend this little foray into Irving for delicious, reasonable and moderate amounts of authentic cooking by the mamas (and son..?). Mahalo (thank you)!

Found this spot while looking for lunch and decided to try it based on the Google reviews. Highly recommend! The food and service did not disappoint. The tacos on flour, pork tamales, and fried fish were all amazing. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

This spot feels like stepping into a family home; the service is so friendly, and the food is made with obvious love. My husband loves the menudo and orders it every time. We’ve also tried the tacos dorados con papas, chilaquiles rojos y verdes, tacos, and breakfast burritos. Everything has been very fresh and delicious. You can truly taste the care and love they put into their cooking.

They also offer rotating specials like caldo de res, various guisados and sopas, and more. For drinks, they have aguas frescas, and you can also pop into the adjoining store to grab additional beverages. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area or even worth the drive!

Unassuming exterior that’s serving solid menudo, tamales, and taco!
Stumbled across this place on a rainy when passing through DFW, and I’m so glad we did. Pisca de Oaxaca is a very small, cash-only establishment at the front of a convenience store but both the food and service are what really make this place special. When in the area, we will definitely be back!

Was looking for posole near me, and this place popped up.. 10 out of 10 felt so welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. The posole tasted very good and I also got chicken tamales, which were also 10 out of 10. Very Homey atmosphere. Love it, Will definitely be back to try different tamales and other menu items.

Absolutely incredible food. I ordered the three taco plate with rice and beans and it did not disappoint. The tacos were packed with flavor and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The red sauce had the perfect amount of spice and added so much depth without overpowering the dish.

It is tucked away inside a convenience store which makes it feel like a true hidden gem. The rice and beans were excellent and rounded everything out perfectly. Service was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere felt genuine and local. If you are anywhere near Las Colinas or DFW Airport and want truly authentic Mexican food this place is a must. We will definitely be back.

The light green sauce is amazing. The sandwich our server recommended was incredible esp when you eat the fries at the same time.

The outside may look a little sketchy, but don’t let that deter you from trying this place! It’s a mom and pop shop to my knowledge and family owned. I was greeted with warm smiles on a slow day. The family was eager to help me find something I liked. I went with the usual Tacos al pastor, asada and my favorite TRIPA!! OMG. The food was so fresh and the tripa was some of the best I’ve had in this area. It was also a cold day and I was offered some free Mexican hot chocolate (champurrado). The atmosphere felt like I was visiting family. I will be back for sure!
