Highly recommend the Fungi Decadent pizza amongst their many offerings.
Server Aiden took drinks and appetizer orders and came back for pizza orders.
Burrata caprese & Caesar Salad. We wanted white anchovies but they were out. Is it really a Caesar salad without anchovies? No, the answer is no. Thi one wasn’t well received by the table. Dressing had horseradish in it. In 56 years I’ve never had Horseradish in my Caesar. It wasn’t welcome. Small portion considering the $16 price tag. Dressing was mayonnaise. C-
Next up was Burrata Caprese. Decent burrata with arugula (where’s the Basil?), marinated mushrooms, a few scant cherry Tomatoes. B
Pepperoni Pizza, flat, way too thin, meh sauce, crust was unappealing. Toppings ok but the pizza was so unappealing there wasn’t anything that pepperoni could do save the show. D
Sausage pizze was a little better but not by much. C
No desserts, kitchen at Cucina Rustica where they make desserts had a fire last night so they couldn’t have them here tonight. D
Overall I wouldn’t come back and recommend no one sets foot in there lest they suffer through bad fare.
Pizza is delicious and comes fast.
The salad hits the spot.
Don’t leave without dessert 🙂
The pizza was also disappointing. The cheese completely overwhelmed any other flavor (we ordered half mushroom / half sausage), and it just didn’t taste balanced. For the quality, it felt very overpriced—and that’s saying something coming from the Bay Area where everything is overpriced. Would definitely not eat here again.
