This place was really great, the food, the service and the other customers were so nice. We asked what scrapple was and they gave a piece so we could try it, we were told it was a Jersey thing, it was tasty. Cool little place in a beautiful spot in Jersey. Highly recommend it

Dinner style The only place to eat on the East end It is wonderful that it is open in the winter I had the soup and half sandwich with an unsweet tea. All were tasty

We were in town for a wedding and a relative who grew up in Brigatine suggested this place for brunch. Everything was amazing. We were able to make reservations, when we entered we were greeted, we were sat and our waitress greeted us immediately and took our drink orders.

Drinks came out quick and then she took our food order. For a party of 7 our food came fast and o my god it was so good!

I ordered 2 x 2 x 2 with scrambled eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 bacon.
I also wanted to try the biscuits and gravy so I ordered the entree for the table.
I’m originally from Chicago area and have had my fair share of amazing diner and breakfast food, but these biscuits and gravy were the BEST I EVER HAD!!!

My father-in law is from NJ and ordered the corn beef hash and an omelet and said they both were amazing as well!!!

We highly recommend this restaurant.

Great little place for breakfast lunch or dinner… we ate here twice last week while on vacation had unbelievably stellar service for dinner with a young girl as our waitress but then had very poor service during the breakfast the next day so hence my 4 stars for service… one day was a 3 one day was a 5. Food was standard breakfast Fair but done perfectly… Supper was very good, Again standard stuff but done perfectly.
I Highly recommend any of the fish or broiled combos. Very busy at breakfast and a bit on the loud side…
But overall a strong recommendation for this place.

come here often with my family. Easily one of our favorite breakfast spots. Food and service is always great. fun merch too ! would recommend. It’s not a huge restaurant, so try to get there earlier or anticipate a wait. However, when you are there, they don’t rush you so remember that if you are waiting !

Pirates Den is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for locals for breakfast, catching up with friends and neighbors or enjoying a quiet meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The food is delicious; they have a great variety on the menu, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. I especially loved their wings. Overall, Pirates Den is a must-visit if you’re in the area. Can’t wait to go back!”

Our first time back in a while and our first time for lunch.
After a hike at the north beach we were hungry and stopped in for a bite at a place we had only visited for breakfast in the past.
There place looked about the same, a very serviceable local diner atmosphere with several rooms and normally plenty of seating.
We got there at 1230 and sat right down – not unusual for October. The waitress came right over and took our order for soft drinks.
Simple food was our target, and we both got turkey clubs. They came out in less than about 5 minutes and were very good with plenty of turkey and crispy bacon.
The place was clean which very important. They could use some adjustments in the interior to cut down on the noise and choppy feel of the place.
We plan to go back for a byob late lunch or early dinner to check out the entrees.

It’s a guarantee that you’ll have one of the best breakfasts in beautiful Brigantine. I’ve been coming here since I can remember when I come and visit this lovely island. Delicious as it is filling. Staff are very accommodating and once you start a conversation. The amount of the serving is not too much to get by for a few hours. After a satisfying meal, why not go for a walk to the beach which is right in front of the restaurant.

Best Hamburger and more!

My family and I have been coming to Brigantine for 30 years and we always come for breakfast at the Pirates Den. We have had a few dinners as well and it is always great and very consistent. Recently, my wife and I wanted a burger with fries. We both had the bacon avocado burger with fries. I also started with their homemade French Onion soup.
The soup was delicious and was not salty. It reminded me of when I had it in Paris.
As for the burgers, I would stack it up against some of the top steak house burgers. They were delicious and quite big. It tasted like a mix of sirloin and brisket. Overall, they have a great menu and we have tried many items but this is the first for a burger but not the last.
