Our pizza tonight was PILED with toppings. Which is sometimes a good thing, but tonight our cheese and pizza dough weren’t all the way cooked.
Although we had this issue, the service was good. I called and explained our dilemma and they offered right away to remake it. I would just keep in mind “light toppings” = regular for most pizza joints. First photo our original pizza, second is remake.

Great hometown pizza shop and friendly service! Let’s start with the pizza, crisp crust, loaded toppings and baked perfectly. Now the Italian sub, I can honestly say was the best I have EVER had tons of toppings wrapped in toasty perfection! I was upset it didn’t have the Italian dressing until I realized that was my fault, it was in the bag to avoid the bread getting soggy LOVE IT! Found my new go to spot for pizza and subs!

Unfortunately, the young lady working at the counter doesn’t know how to talk politely to customers and is a poor choice for that position. When I asked why my chicken strips didn’t come with sauce she told me I have to ask for sauce. Call me old School, but they should ask me if I need sauce with them. When I did ask for sauce there was a $1 charge for the sauce.. In my experience at just about every restaurant, chicken strips come with some kind of sauce included. This place has gone down over the years.

Apparently yet another management change. 17” pizza pizza was over cooked. Shirt on the toppings and appeared to be haphazardly assembled crust had the consistency of a cracker. $26 for 17” and a salad. Too bad. Next time I’ll make the extra ride to my Gilead

We placed the ordered at 6:45pm. Taco fold over (person taking the order said sour cream came with it), 12″ buffalo chicken sub, 10 piece boneless wings and a small salad. Was told on the phone when placing the order that it would be 30 minutes. At 7:10 went in and they said it would be another 20 min at least. Ended up taking 59 minutes. 7:44 it was ready. The girl did say sorry we got busy. That was it, had a didn’t care attitude. They didn’t offer to discount anything or a discount for future purchase.
Now we get it home and there’s no sour cream, the sub isn’t cut in half and doesn’t have anything on it besides chicken and cheese, the taco fold over it terribly dry and so are the boneless wings with hardly any sauce. Terrible experience!

We used to go to Pirate’s Cove quite often. They HAD the best subs in the area and surrounding. We went there tonight and are very disappointed. The subs used to overflow with fillings (especially cheese). It seems now they put half of what they used to on their subs. My daughter got an italian sub and they didn’t put salami on it, so she basically got a ham sub. It’s just not worth the 30 minute drive any more. And I will no longer be bragging about the subs to anyone I know. Bring back the previous owners!

I made an accident and accidently placed a 8 inch sub instead of a 12 inch. And called to see if they could change it to a 12 inch and they told me yes over the phone. Then when I got there they charged me for an extra 8 inch sub. So they made me pay for an extra sub that wasn’t even a 12 inch sub and then I didnt even get points for it.
I ordered 3x pepperoni and extra sauce and get the normal amount.

Best pizza in Morrow County. Hands down. This pizza has come a long way over the last year. Crust has a crunchy bottom with a soft middle. Sauce and cheese are outstanding! Thank you Pirates Cove for being in Cardington serving better pizza than everyone else!
