We chose to dine here based on multiple local recommendations, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision! The cuisine was exceptional, and the scenic view was truly breathtaking. For dinner, I savored the delectable Thai chili shrimp alongside a flavorful cup of gumbo, both of which were absolutely delicious. My friend opted for the seared scallops, which were also superb. Despite the initial crowd and a 30-minute wait, we opted to sit at the bar and were promptly served. Despite the bar becoming crowded, the bartender ensured a seamless experience, always attending to our drinks and checking on us. Exceptional food, reliable service, and unforgettable vistas make this place a must-visit!

This was our first visit to this restaurant. I loved that it was right on the beach. It had a great view and we got to watch the sun set from our table on the second floor. We went on a Saturday night and for our party of 3 it was a 45 minute wait so they were pretty busy. It gave us time to walk around by the beach and take pictures so we didn’t mind. There’s also a pool and live music and a bar down by the pool. My daughter and I both got the fried fish dinner. It was kind of expensive at $20 a plate but it came with 2 very big pieces of fish. My daughter and I could have easily shared one plate and probably still had fish leftover. My husband got the Mahi plate and he said it was delicious. For sides my (very picky) daughter got mac n cheese and ate 2 orders of it. I got the fries and onion rings. The onion rings were very good, perfectly crisp. The fries were seasoned fries and I usually really like those but these didn’t taste like they were super fresh. My husband got the loaded baked potato and green beans and said they were very good. All the plates came with hush puppies and they were really good. We also got the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were really good. They were the biggest fried pickles I’d ever had. I wish they were a little crispier but they were still good. They didn’t come with any dipping sauce but they were able to give us some ranch. The waitress was very friendly and did a great job.

What a great place to visit! Though the table service was a bit slow the food was good (the seafood platter was divine, but the chicken in the alfredo pasta could have benefited from some seasoning), the ambiance was impeccable with gorgeous views! The fried pickles and the key lime pie were terrific. The drinks were pretty good as well! Would definitely recommend!

Loved the history of this unique and special place! We had a short wait for our party of seven, but it was well worth it with the beautiful views and cool atmosphere. My kids felt like we were on a movie set The service was really good and we all enjoyed our meals. My daughter especially raved about the fettuccine alfredo.

Nice local restaurant located on the only golf course on the island. Definitely an eclectic feel from the building that dates back to the 1950’s. Service was good and food arrive hot and and after a reasonable wait.

Kind of a run down tourist trap. Really neat to visit but it was all about scraping any extra cash from you. Food was not good. The staff was all friendly and did a great job. My biggest issue was everyone on the island was like oh you gotta go here so we went. We got out of the car and I knew it was not going to be good. I say go just to say you did it. Take a few pics, order a small meal then go eat somewhere else.

Best restaurant on the island!! We’re a family of 6 and had excellent service. Jacob was our server, and he hustled along with being incredibly friendly. The manager also stopped by our table and was equally nice. All the food was delicious! Highly recommend the raw oysters, crab cakes, and flounder Ponchartrain. The 2nd floor view of the beach is the cherry on top! Make reservations and you’ll be set. We’ll make this a regular stop on our yearly vacation to the island 🙂

Trying to think of something bad to say, but our lunchtime experience at Pirates was great! It was Monday, but there was a quick wait time and the views were great! Food really hit the spot. Pork belly and shrimp, my whole family devoured and I got the Creole royal red saute. Phenomenal flavor.
