I was so excited for the vegan options but was disappointed in overall flavor and taste on the vegan soft serve. It almost had a slushy like consistency- definitely not soft serve. I may have been served the wrong thing. However, I loved the atmosphere and the workers were so friendly despite how busy they were! 3 stars because I am hopeful that they will make improvements to the vegan soft serve and grateful that a local business is experimenting with vegan options

I’m a vendor every year at the Covington Pride festival and we always end our day at Piper’s for some soft serve. The ice cream rocks, the staff are awesome, and it’s the perfect end to a long day.
I was especially touched by the service today. I’m disabled and juggling crutches and oxygen gets iffy and takes extra time. The guy serving me very kindly told me to take my time and no need to rush. I often feel like I’m in the way so it was lovely for them to be so understanding.

Place is next to a decent park, that also has a clock tower. Can bring your kids to play at the park and then get some ice cream. Has outdoor seating.

Cute little ice cream place with lots of different flavor options. My daughter ordered a German chocolate waffle cone with Heath pieces on top and hers was delicious! I ordered butterscotch ice cream in a bowl with chocolate sprinkles and mine tasted like banana. ♀️ Parking is limited on street.

In the UK you order your ice cream, pay, and then wait to get it. Here the business model involves waits of 40 minutes upwards, which I don’t really understand. It was such a lovely day today, to finish with a lovely ice cream would have been great, but the really long wait spoiled it. Lovely ice cream, way too many options. It took so long, I forgot to take a photo of my black cherry ice cream.

I was in the area and saw there was vegan soft serve which is not easy to come by. They had a number of toppings and sauces that were vegan, which is super cool! But when I got the ice cream I realized it’s water slush with sugar. It had no flavor, except for the peanut sauce I added to it. Vegan ice cream is normally made with oats, soy, almond or coconut. I can appreciate it’s allergen friendly but I wouldn’t call it ice cream. I was let down big time. Of course my husband’s normal ice cream looked great.

Under the shade of a big tree I had the many delicious veggie burger I have ever had in my life. With a spicy restaurant made mustard sauerkraut lettuce and tomato it was a perfect sandwich. The waitress was the daughter of the two owners and she couldn’t have been more delightful. They also ave an amazing sandwich called chick a fil lie in which when you order a donation is made to an lgbt charity. Bravo!!! (PS. And if you want to get marry there is a justice of the peace just steps away.)
