I will recommend the Sea bass.
For breakfast they get packed and is hard to get a table, so make sure to have a reservation ahead of time. Their breakfast buffet is $55 usd, the à la cart option is better especially if you’re staying at the hotel and would like to use your hotel credit.
The pull apart cinnamon bread is HUGE and delicious, just keep the size in mind if your party size is just made of two.
The only room for improvement is communication. Since they had a buffet option but also a la carte, the waiter on out first day failed in explaining how it worked, and what was included and what was not. She just started offering us thing that we thought were covered or included in the buffet. We found out later when we received our bill.
We were guest at Mission Pacific so this was our place for breakfast. After our first not so great experience, we learned how the menu worked and had no issues after that.
We were seated at a window table with a nice view of the outside street and terrace. The menu had lots of options that all sounded delicious. Beginning with a cappuccino that is the best I have had lately in my travels…thick, foamy and full of flavor. Selecting the Crab Eggs Benedict, my wife had the O’side breakfast. The food all came relatively quickly. The poached eggs on my Benedict were overcooked The rest of the breakfast was cooked just right and was filling and full of flavor.
Look guys I hate critique in the food industry but I honestly feel scammed. I paid over $30 for 5 squash dumplings that’s nearly $7 per squash dumplings. I don’t give a rats butt about tourism tax, ambiance tax, and beach tax you can’t justify that kind of markup.
In terms of international standard of price to quality ratio, this place is for sure a below one star if the UI permits.
Cooking is a commodity, chef that means there is a large population out there that also cooks. And it’s clear you cut the white sauce with these dumplings 4 stars too much starch. Idk what your qualifications are but have some integrity in your work man. It’s such a disappointment. But hey life is about learning and I hope you see this review.
I didn’t even call the manager, I didn’t even live up to my damn name.
P.s.
If you read to this far I thank your patience with my rant and I hope you have a nice life.
Chef is creative with both flavors and presentation. The wine list is impressive.
A special place for a special occasion.
