Perfect food truck right at the port. The food is very fresh and the view of the bay is beautiful here. You eat right outside with the picnic tables they have setup. The port is quiet and well maintained. I can’t wait to go back again soon to try more stuff on their menu. Fish n chips were to die for! Very lightly breaded and so flaky!

This is a wonderful, hidden gem! Beautiful weather, felt like a mini vaca, overlooking the bay! Oh ya, the food! Spot on. They have the recipe down. Delicious, crispy and fresh. No need to travel to the coast! Definitely try the shrimp tacos and fresh lemonade!

Oh, goodness! Best fish and chips I’ve had in years! Light and crisp, fresh fish and delicious flavors. The sauce is to die for too. I was so excited to see the number of people waiting in line for both the food truck and the fresh off the boat seafood. What a crew! If you’re in luck, you’ll also catch some steel drum live music. Definitely worth a visit and the wait.

Fresh fish, right off the boat! Or opt to pick up a delicious lunch from the affiliated food truck, sit by the water and listen to the music. Today there was a steel drum musician!
We had the fish (fresh grilled halibut) tacos and a kobe beef cheeseburger with bacon. Bring your own adult beverage or favorite drink to wash it all down. Amazing way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Check their website for days and times. (Usually open Friday through Sunday, 10am to 6pm.)

Really tasty fish and chips! Fish was juicy with a light batter. Fries were crispy and the tartar sauce was unique (in a good way.) The coleslaw was bland, but overall I enjoyed it. Plenty of food for two people to share, which makes the price ($16) a little more bearable. Lots of setting by the water, definitely check this food truck out!

Great little seafood food truck that parks right by the covered benches right on the bay. Good views, good food and a good lemonade. The fish is fresh and have non-seafood options for those who prefer. Sizeable quantities!

Food is very good, and it damn well better be for the price. You are paying as much as you would for table service with white table cloths in a warm, cozy atmosphere, but you are getting tacos from a crowded, noisy food truck next to the famously cool-to-cold Bay. Good-to-great views of Redwood Slough and the sailboats (usually), and there is usually plenty of seating except when they have very loud DJ music on Saturdays. Bring your own lunch, and enjoy the view with your own food without standing in line, or if you really, really, want to pay exorbitant prices, drive just 5 minutes more and go to The Club at Westpoint, which actually does have table service and white table clothes.

Significantly overpriced for fried calamari which was under cooked and served on a bed of barely warm generic French fries, and a flavorless cocktail sauce.
The fish tacos were served cold, and may have been good if served hot, will never know.
Keep your money, and bring a picnic basket – the location is great. Sadly, Pioneer Seafood is far from it.

This is the type of food truck that one really wants to like – local business, located in a nice location with an inspiring seafood menu. However, the experience is the opposite. First of all, half the menu options are not available on the day we were there. Some of us attempted 3 times to order and the owner did not even attempt to let us know what is and not available until we order. We were the only customer, he just stands there, let us make the decision, then tell us it’s not available, this went on for several rounds with our party of 5.
With the available options, quality is not good – clam chowder is way too salty, fish and chips is not fresh. Shrimp and calamari tasted line it’s been frozen/thawed multiple times.
Again, really like to support local business but every aspect of this food truck is bad.
