The bar has a great atmosphere. I think they need to turn down th AC though. We had our name added to the list and we’re called for seating shortly after 5. It was Mother’s day so that was great. We had prime rib, salad, and baked potatoes. I don’t like that rice, which few people would eat with beef, is the main starch. They charge 4.00 for a baked potato and 4.00 for salad. For 36.00 both of those items should come with the meal. The food was delicious.

What a great place to have drinks and dinner. My mom-in-law suggested that we go here if we could. We went on Saturday and were there when it opened. Great service from the moment we went in. There are animal heads on the walls and some are in the record books. The menu has information on some of them; also about information on some other things inside as well. We set at the bar but could have gotten a table too. We were given a pager so we could get a table if wanted. I tried a local beer (I believe it was Teton Beer) and it was an amber; not bad. The best thing was my 30 ounce prime rib. It came with peppercorn sauce, bleu cheese butter (on the side so I could add as I wanted) and other dipping sauces. I also got a loaded baked potato. All was excellent but too much for me so I brought it home. Service was outstanding. We went early but I am guessing it can get very busy. We had some shrimp cocktail and those were some pretty big shrimp (yum!)

We have been coming here for 25 years. We come early (5pm) & are happy to sit in the bar. We are usually seated within an hour.

Bar area is a bit tight while waiting for table but awesome atmosphere. Server was very knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend the prime rib as well as the trout & brie app.

Amazing place. We went for dinner to this little restaurant. The interior decor is awesome–friendly staff. Good selection of beverages, too.

15 of us managed to get a table. Our waiter Alex fro. SOo. Africa was awesome, and of course, the food never disappoints.

I was honestly disappointed with my experience at the pioneer saloon. The greeter and the manager and the other waitstaff were lovely but my server was not, I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt that it was an off night for her and this experience is mostly discounting her service in this review. The food was less than thrilling. The artichoke was good but the steak (which was at least cooked perfectly) and vegetables were unseasoned with even salt and pepper and were not anything to write home about. Overall it was a disappointment to spend $70 on a meal and for it to not have been a great experience.

You simply don’t find this kind of service and atmosphere anywhere anymore… we were visiting from Salt Lake City and stopped in to see what this little gem offered. We were immediately welcomed in for dinner and/or a drink although I think they were nearing the end of the evening. We had recently finished up dinner elsewhere but hung around for a drink and sat the the bar. 100% glad we did as it felt like home sitting in the living room chatting with friends that we’d known since high school although they were strangers. They educated us on the history of the restaurant as well as the town. Every employee was overwhelming welcoming and willing to share their story. Hats off to the owner and staff. Wish we could bottle the entire package up and spread it worldwide. I’ve dined everywhere from a hole in the wall 1 man band to 5 star restaurants throughout North America… Pioneer Saloon takes the cake! We will be back!
