Got a tip from a friend to check this place out. Took a drive out to Plain City to try Pioneer Pizza out. I was met my a super nice girl (didn’t get her name) , they were super busy already. I ordered a medium 38 mm pepperoni, cracker crust and hot honey. FORGOT to order the garlic butter crust. I sat down and watched some basketball in the dining area, they also have a bar area next to it. Not even a doubt that they can accommodate a lot of people. The pizza came out pretty quickly even though they were busy. The pizza was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a great tomato flavor. nice and smooth. They then layered the perfect amount of Grande cheese, then loaded up on Ezzo’s pepperoni and then topped it off with a good amount of Hot Honey on top. This was a perfect pizza and the taste. Yummy!!! I did get to talk with John-the Regional Manager while I was there. He said they had been in business since 2019. They emphasize that the customer always comes first. They make their dough fresh every day. Besides the indoor area they have a patio also. A rarity is they have their own delivery drivers, not wanting to have to depend on another company. If you get the opportunity you have to check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Found this place by total luck. My brother and I were on our way home from Columbus and decided to take the back roads instead of the interstate. We both said we’d like to find a mom and pop pizza place for lunch. We stop at a red light, I glance to my right and said hey there’s a pizza place. Super friendly gal took our order and made our pizza and brought it to our table. We literally had THE most amazing pickle fries ever. I know from now on I am going to be disappointed in any others but theirs. The pizza was superb! Loaded so high with toppings but yet no soggy crust. And let me add that the toppings were very fresh. It wasn’t just great food, it was an experience.

Pizza was very good! The homemade sausage was unique, but delicious! Also had a huge order of fries for an appetizer… came out piping hot and crispy. Definitely will stop in here again the next time in Plain City!

The past 2 times we have ordered the pizza was wrong like no pepperoni on an old-fashioned with other toppings or the crust is dry and hard as the amount of sauce is lacking. I don’t know what has happened but the pizza used to be top notch, I craved it like would get it every week. I will give them a couple more chances but I am disappointed.

Took my daughter and her family out to dinner and as we sat down, a waitress greeted us asked us what drinks we wanted then never came back. Six of us got our own drinks, our own napkins and our own plates as we ate in. One of the orders was completely wrong, but no one ever came back to ask us if we needed anything so we just continued to eat. I believe the heat is shut off in this place. It was probably about 60° but this would be a great place to open up a restaurant and hire waitresses. We were the only ones dining in at the restaurant and I think I know why now. The owner should be embarrassed by the immature behavior and goofing off from staff members in the kitchen, acting a fool, and not paying attention to the only customers in the whole place.

We almost always have to wait longer than the expected pick up time. We waited an extra 25 minutes today. When we got the pizza back, one of them had a missing piece. This was odd and a bit concerning. Overall we like the quality and taste, but it is a bit pricey.

Pioneer Pizza has some of the best pizza in Plain City. The crust is light and crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are ample. The same goes for the Stromboli. The salads are fresh and crisp, although I do wish they’d make their own House Italian Dressing. They could really be creative with their own recipe. Also, they could have a larger selection or “Real Beers,” and not just the candy flavored ones that the kids like.
Oh, and the Funnel Fries with Icing ??? …. What? OMG They Are Delicious !!! Get your’s while they are still legal; but be sure to bring your insulin pen…. Parking is easy if you go early.

We’ve dined in and had take out. The only place I’ve ever had a gluten free cauliflower crust where the crust was actually crispy. Generous toppings and delicious pizza. Small eat in area, but a very nice, although small, bar area.

Disappointing to say the least with other options in town. Messed up two pizzas… one looked like an incomplete puzzle on arrival. Also a professional kitchen manager looked at these tenders and okay’d them to go out to the customer. (Photo attached) Called them to make it right and they said they’d get an order out to us ASAP to make it right. Called back and was told “it will be right there” nearly 90 mins later. Go to Jan and Tony’s. Nuff said.

New place for us so we order pizza, Stromboli and a sub. All was very good and cheaper than most pizza places. Will definitely return.
