We came for the cheese curds, how disappointing! There was no cheese in a few of them and the ones that had cheese in them had so little that you could barely taste it. 1-1 1/2 inches of batter. I pulled them apart and found about a half inch square of cheese ( if that much)

We got a two topping thick crust 16” pizza, 12” Keg supreme thick, & large order of cheese sticks. Take out, it was $80 out the door without a tip. I was taken back. That was most money I ever spent on two pizzas and cheese sticks and one of the pizzas we got was only a 12”…????? Food was good but wasn’t no $80 good!!! Looking at the menu online I still don’t see why we paid so much?? Think we got scammed….$80????

I had high hopes for Pioneer Keg, but unfortunately, my experience left me thoroughly disappointed. My grandma and I arrived around 11am, there were only a few people (maybe five) seated at the bar. We chose a table to sit at, and a few minutes later the owner came over, we received menus and were asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered my drink and my gran ordered hers. For 25 minutes, we were completely ignored, no check-in, not a glance from the owner who was behind the bar fiddling with cups while making small talk with the people at the bar. My grandma and I quickly left. With such a small crowd, this kind of disregard is unacceptable.
What’s worse than the poor service was the overall atmosphere, which seemed to stem from the owner’s attitude. There’s a clear air of unprofessionalism and entitlement, as if customers are expendable because “there will always be more.” That mindset is not how you run a successful or welcoming business.
Treat your customers better, and maybe then you’d have the support, and income, to hire actual staff and not need to require your child to work for you. It’s hard to grow a business when the energy you put out pushes people away. And frankly, if you spent more time working on your customer service (and your attitude), you might not be so stressed, or unpleasant to be around.

My visit was extremely disappointing. I’m fairly certain I saw rats in the bathroom, which immediately raised serious concerns about cleanliness. To make matters worse, my burger was served completely raw, and when I brought it to the staff’s attention, they refused to refund me or replace it. The drinks were flat, flavorless, and had an unpleasant smell—almost like sweat and uncooked food. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the employees crossed personal boundaries by asking intrusive questions about my life. This was by far one of the most unsettling dining experiences I’ve ever had. I won’t be coming back.

Amazing! We have been twice so far. First time we had the famous cheese curds, DELICIOUS! Also had the keg pound spicy bacon cheeseburger with fries and the prime rib sub with onions and mushrooms and mozzarella cheese with homemade chips, all turned out great, very filling and good. The second time we went we obviously got cheese curds again and ordered the keg philly cheese pizza which is pictured got home and it was super good! It says theres jalapeno cheddar as one of the cheeses so we thought it might be spicy because of that but it wasn’t spicy!

Well, peeps say they are known for their cheese curds? Well, we tried them. They were very good! Jim said they have a cauliflower crust option for a gluten-free option, so we’ll be back for pizza next….and cheese curds!

If your looking for great food and a great atmosphere look no further. My family loves this place. My wife and kids are gluten free and his gluten free pizza is among the best we have had. The burgers, pizza, prime rib, and any other food we have had has never disappointed.
