This was, no joke, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in years. It’s the quintessential diner experience: Ashley, my waitress, was incredibly friendly and lovely, the atmosphere is homey, and the pancakes and bacon were perfect. Seriously, the pancakes–I can’t get over them. I’m only in town for two days but you’d best believe I’ll be coming back again tomorrow. Highly recommend.

We had a group of 7 earlier today and the service was outstanding. We had the pleasure of having Emily as our server. She was amazing. We were sat down as soon as we walked in. Very clean, very reasonably priced, servers were friendly and knowledgeable on the menu, && my pancakes were delicious! there is so much potential but a few fails. we come by every few months to see if anything changes for the better and is seems down hill recently – frenchtoast is great but other food like eggs & meat don’t taste fresh enough. coffee is also hit or miss today was a gross miss. like most places under staffed but waiting 20min for a check and not getting checked on at all is not cool – way over priced for the quality

Very poor service from the moment you walk in the door. The food was terrible as well! We had an order of pancakes that came to the table that was hard and cold. We told the waitress and she said do you want us to warm them up? We said no we want fresh! Second batch came out. It was better, but they’re not the best pancakes in the Poconos for sure! The coffee couldn’t even get warmed up at a reasonable rate! All in all, we will never be back. I would suggest you find another restaurant to go to.

Their prices are quite high! $2.85 for a cup of coffee is ridiculous! Two of us had eggs for breakfast and bill was $30!!! Crazy! Eggs are not that expensive anymore. Waitresses are great, atmosphere quite pleasant, prices ridiculously high!

If you’re lookin’ for a good ol’ hearty meal, lemme tell ya, Pioneer Diner is the place to be! I moseyed on in for breakfast, and I tell ya what, I had myself one of the best meals in a long while. Them eggs over easy were somethin’ special—just savory as could be. And that bacon? Crispy like it’s s’posed to be, with a perfect balance of tangy and salty.
But it didn’t stop there. Them home fries—lord have mercy—they were outta this world! Just the right amount of salt, and cooked up just right. Then, to top it all off, I had myself a Belgian waffle, and lemme tell ya, that waffle was somethin’ else! Light as a feather, flaky, and just the right kinda sweet. It was the cherry on top of an already fine meal.
The folks workin’ there were friendly as can be, made me feel right at home, and the prices? Mighty fair if you ask me. And don’t even get me started on the speed of the service—didn’t even have to wait long! So if you’re hankerin’ for a top-notch breakfast or lunch, Pioneer Diner’s where you wanna go, no doubt about it!
