This is the best Thai food I have had in the Bay Area in 10 years. We were in Oakland for a volleyball tournament and dropped in here for a quick dinner. We had the Krapao Gai (Basil Chicken) and Tom Ko Gai. Everything was amazing and flavorful. The chicken was super clean and the vegetables very fresh. I loved that the restaurant was so clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back again.

Great food, fantastic service, and they were really helpful with our particular food allergies. We had the pad seew, Khao soi gai, a special dish, and coconut pudding for dessert and really enjoyed them all. Kid friendly and a great vibe. We will definitely be back soon!

I got the Khao Soi Gai with chicken and a special drink for the holidays, Hot Thai Tea (you can get it with Sake or as a cocktail). I truly loved the Hot Thai Tea. I had never had it hot before and now it’s all I want to drink! The service was also fast, friendly, and they were very accommodating for our large group.

I stopped by after searching an exhaustive list of local Thai restaurants. I was seated quickly and was recommended the Khao Soi Gai and I can tell you without a doubt this is an exceptionally flavorful dish. The portion was generous including a good portion of protein in the dish. I’m not a huge broth person but the dish’s broth was so incredibly flavorful I drank every drop. The Khao Soi is one of the few times I’ve wandered out of a basic “Pad Thai” and if this is you as well, I would strongly recommend the dish. The dish has a slight level of spice to it which adds nicely to the overall flavor, but I would not at all call it “spicy” for someone worried about the level. The restaurant itself is has a relaxed feel with splashes of bright and aesthetically pleasing decor, the music was at a low-ish level, enough to establish a fun mood but not so loud as to feel interrupting. I will absolutely be back to have it again soon.

Stopped by Pintoh Thai in Oakland for lunch and had a great experience! The space is bright and stylish but still feels casual and welcoming. I ordered the kang kiew wan gai (green curry with chicken but sub with tofu), and it was delicious—flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The veggies were fresh, along with the tofu. I also had a Thai jasmine green iced tea, which was perfectly balanced and super refreshing. Service was quick and friendly—ideal for a laid-back lunch break. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
