The bocce was great! During happy hour, the $3 beers are amazing! The hummus is delish too!

The service is very kind. When we had dinner, the waiter seemed disinterested, which I didn’t like

The food is yummy, but overpriced for the portion

I’d recommend going during the happy hour!

A Valentine’s Day Miracle (No, Really)

I took my wife and daughter to PinStripes on Valentine’s Day—a date that historically has been the culinary equivalent of a car accident for our family. Over the past few years, we’ve collected disappointing restaurants like Pokémon cards. Either the food falls spectacularly short of expectations, or the service moves at continental drift speed. Last Valentine’s Day at that Greek/Lebanese place near Farragut Square? Let’s just say their chicken kabob tasted like it had been waiting longer for love than we had.

So naturally, I walked into PinStrippes armed with my usual optimism—which is to say, none.

The restaurant offered a fixed menu—which I assumed, like every other establishment in existence, came with wines at a price point that would require refinancing my house. Imagine my shock when the wines arrived in full glasses and actually cost nothing. Apparently, PinStripes didn’t get the memo about bleeding customers dry on Valentine’s Day.

The mussels arrived swimming in wine, shallot, and lemon—actually delicious. The berry salad contained, revolutionary concept, actual berries. The surf and turf delivered a respectable steak, and the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu were—dare I say—above average.

When my daughter requested off-menu pizza, the staff actually accommodated us instead of delivering the usual “It’s Valentine’s Day, everyone must suffer through the fixed menu” lecture we received last year. Revolutionary.

Then came the moment of truth: the bill. It matched what was promised. No surprise surcharges, no “mandatory service fees,” no hidden fees masquerading as “dine-in tips”—just honest pricing in a city where restaurants treat transparency like it’s contagious.

I left feeling like I’d stumbled upon an urban legend: a quality Georgetown restaurant on the busiest night of the year that actually delivers value.

Dear PinStripes: Please never change. We’ll be back. Repeatedly.

(My photos are terrible because I kept forgetting to document things when the food arrived—priorities, apparently.)

The restaurant is located in a very popular area of the city, students loaded Georgetown.
The place has a bowling alley and Bocci tracks.
The food was OK. We had a corporate meeting and hors devoir type of catered dinner.

Food and drinks were good but the prices were a bit steep for the portion sizes. Predominantly the calamari. We got maybe 10 pieces for $18. The flatbread $18 with just chunks of tomato and cheese. My lemon martini was great. Overall the food is good but the prices are a bit high in my opinion.

Came for Sunday brunch for my daughters birthday and it was fabulous. The parking is atrocious, but that’s Georgetown for you! There is a nearby garage with a two minute walk for $23 or another one further down with a 6 minute walk for $12. We set a reservation and were sat expeditiously in this cute corner booth. We came for the all you can eat brunch buffet and it did not disappoint. My favorite were the Green Chilaquiles and the Fondue station with fresh strawberries. They have a great selection of food. The gentleman working the omelet station/chilaquiles station was very pleasant to speak with and kind providing service. He even made me a half portion of chilaquiles because I wanted a little bit more. To my surprise all my children (3 total) were completely free on Sunday since they were under the age of 12. Another note to add is the beautiful smell radiating as you walked to the restrooms. They were spotless. Highly recommend this place!!!

My experience here is with bringing groups for a meal and bowling. The food is okay; doughy pizza with no meat toppings, bland salad, and undercooked pasta with sauce from a jar. I can’t speak to the food quality if ordering not the menu, it might be great. The bowling experience is actually very quite nice. They have an intimate area with lanes reserved for a group of any size They also offer classic bocce ball

Went here to celebrate after work and it was a lovely space in the heart of Georgetown. The outdoor area has pretty views and is tucked away from the street/sidewalk bustle.

Happy hour was great. We had wings and drinks for a reasonable price.
The servers switched and it threw us off when it came time for the bill, but we figured it out.

First time there and I was not expecting waited staff which is just added pressure when trying to find a cheap activity to do with my disabled brother.

I enjoyed playing but the food prices were steep despite going on happy hour. I did not like my flatbread. $30 for a game and shoes for two was fine. $50+ for food was ridiculous. Also, there was no discount on our food. $11 for a mocktail is more than Alamo drafthouse which is a usual Tuesday for us.

The worse was having to share a table with strangers who were clearly on a date. I would come early during the week if you want to be alone with your family/loved ones. I asked for the bill when I saw people started arriving after 4:30pm

A great place to have a celebration.

We were past of a wedding party and had our own room and servers. Later, we went bowling and played games.

This place used to be great! Now be very careful when to come to this restaurant. If it’s a special holiday forget it. Be ready to be waiting on your food for 20min due to them hosting groups of 100 children from private schools. We came here for my father’s birthday yesterday, 05/16/2024 to be put in the back next to the elevator, we kept getting pushed in by the rolling carts of 1000 dirty plates on the way to the kitchen. The waitress was slow rude and careless. She got our orders wrong and our food was brought out cold. The portion sizes are a joke, and the drinks gave me a headache, I get dizzy from even standing up. How can you even get drinks wrong?. The food was ridiculous and it was definitely a let down. Forget about finding decent parking in Georgetown on a holiday or important weekend. We won’t be coming back. I always take great pictures but trust me, we won’t be back.
