Personally, pizzas and calzones/strombolis were a bit dry to my liking (unless you count the grease). Did takeout. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Feels a bit more like a pub atmosphere with the lighting and decor vs. family friendly but not necessarily a bad thing.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza—oh, the pizza! A perfect 10 out of 10 doesn’t even begin to describe the explosion of authentic New York flavors in every bite. The crust is perfection, the cheese melts like a dream, and the sauce bursts with that classic, rich tomato goodness that only true New York pizza can deliver. It’s an absolute masterpiece that will have your taste buds singing for days.
Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a fun hangout with friends, a girls’ night out, or a cozy family dinner, Pino’s Pizza is the ultimate destination in Richmond, Virginia. The staff is unbelievably friendly, greeting every guest with genuine smiles that light up the entire room. I honestly don’t think I saw a single person in the restaurant who wasn’t beaming with happiness—from the customers to the staff, the vibe is pure joy.
We ordered a large cheese pizza and a grilled chicken salad, and both were phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The service was prompt, attentive, and warm, making the whole experience feel like a celebration.
If you want the best pizza experience in Richmond, look no further than Pino’s Pizza. This place deserves every one of its five stars and then some. I cannot recommend it enough—just go and prepare to be blown away!
We got the Pino’s Deluxe pizza to go one night and then needed somewhere open a little late one night so we dined in (they were open until 10pm on a weeknight).
We got the Tuesday night special (two of the regular pasta choices for like $19). I got the beef tortellini and my boyfriend got the manicotti. Both were delicious and tasted fresh and had really good sauce. Bonus points for local charm, friendly customer service, salads and even bread.
