I’ve eaten at Pinons several times, and it never disappoints! The food is absolutely delicious. When in the area I try to eat here whenever possible.
The ingredients are healthy too and they use organic flour. Their pizza is delicious!!!
Tips:
Order family style! If you’re with a group, order 2–3 pizzas half and half and you get to try up to 6 different recipes.
I love how they slice the pizza here and I even started cutting mine the same way at home.
Don’t miss the Maple Bacon pizza. I was hesitant at first, but after one bite it quickly became one of my favorites.
Oh well also ordered a large salad and it was enough for 4-5 of us. It was delicious too. Nice and fresh.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. In fact, it was their suggestion to order pizzas half and half, and it really is the best way to experience more flavors.
I also recommend making a reservation online so you’re sure to get a table. They do have some outdoor seating, which is fun for people-watching and catching a glimpse of the train as it goes by, though outdoor spots are limited.

We had the personal pizzas and they were excellent. They have draft beer and a variety of mixed drinks. The seating is cozy. Wait staff was attentive and ready with recommendations for first timers. It can get a bit loud when full but a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

I had come a few times to this small town spot when I have been in the area & sat at the bar. I was sad to hear that the regular young girl bartending was no longer there, she made great cocktails and was so lovely to talk to. This time I came in with my friend and I, and had hopes to sit at the bar but instead we sat at the high top table. Very uncomfortable. Our waitress seemed like she couldn’t bother with my friend’s questions and gave an attitude. We waited for our drinks that I could see sitting at the bar ready for quite awhile until the gentlemen brought them over. The food took awhile to come out but was very good, could have been a bit hotter. We were all done and waiting for the check for a very long time as I could see our waitress in the back on her cell phone. Overall this place does better if you sit at the bar, you’ll get better service and kindness. Food is worth trying.

Best restaurant pizza you can get on LI. Organic ingredients and interesting toppings make for an eventful night. Awesome beer, wine, and liquor selection. Ask for the waiter who looks like Dolph Lundgren. You do not want to miss Piñons – one of the best spots to hangout, drink, enjoy some great company.

Delicious wood fired pizza with great combos of toppings. We had the Pepperoni and Peppers, Hot Mesa and my favorite – Maple Bacon. They offer gluten free with an option of no crust. Dessert was local favorite cherry pie from Young’s Farm and the Cowboy Cookie is my kryptonite. Attentive friendly service. Loved the music and the vibe. Perfect casual place for delicious pizza! Having been a fan since they opened, it’s great to see that the pizzas are offered now in local grocery markets in the freezer section. And you can make a reservation on the website which I didn’t know as we’ve been frequenting this place as a drop by for quite a while.

Great vibes, great drinks, great apps, great pizza. Been looking for a spot like this for a long time. Not the type of place you get takeout from(just because the ambiance and overall experience of sitting down is so good) but definitely the type to sit down and have a few drinks and have some great food. Got the pizza that has lamb, mint and feta on it and my god it was amazing. Never had a pizza with that combination before and it blew my expectations away.

So much to say about Piñons. The area of Locust Valley is so cute and underated to begin with. But this cute restaurant is such a great touch that it’s worth traveling to even if you’re coming from out of town! The food and the ambience makes for such a great casual date night that when you’re done I suggest you walk around town to stretch your legs and get a good breathe of fresh air because you’ve just finished a larger than expected meal. This place is an absolute must if you’re looking for the entire package of different, romantic, and of course delicious!
