I came for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. I drove quite a while to get here. When I got here at 12 they weren’t open , I waited another 15 min and still nothing. I got a bit annoyed and left to the gas station and to a store . I decided to go to another Puertorican spot ( which there’s plenty in the area) before I tried to check on them again. Arrived at 12:45 ish and they were open. I asked and they said they opened later because of the rain. Is a small restaurant with a bright color and good music.

I order a alcapurria, a conch empanadilla, a octopus cup and a mofongo with fried pork. To drink we took a piña colada (virgin).

I must say the food was the saving grace of my rating. This was absolutely one of the BEST Puertorican food I’ve had in the area.
The alcapurria was big and full of meat.
The conch empanadilla was fresh and flavorful .
The octopus salad was the best I’ve had in YEARS! Big chunks of octopus, super tender and barely no onions and peppers.
The mofongo was soft and not dry, did not need any caldo or sauce.
The fried pork had a nice mix of fatty parts , not dry onda super seasoned.

I absolutely loved the flavor of everything and I would highly recommended.

Had the “churrasco” and mofongo. No taste at all, mofongo was hollow inside. Definitely not worth the price we paid for. “Churrasco” was tasteless good thing they give you a small cup of chimichurri. Definitely not a taste from Piñones. Mofongo had a nice texture but again tasteless.

First time and last. Nothing compare to PR how are you a restaurant and you do not have rice. Then waited so long on our meal I had fried plantains with chicken. I did not enjoy the chicken. It had feathers like they do not clean it. Then my hubby order coffee & was given the tiniest foam cup you do not even give to child.

I am very upset. Today I ordered a mixed seafood cocktail and instead of bringing it in the traditional plastic cup today they only used a small plate, in which there were just three shrimps and very small pieces of octopus. Additionally I ordered rice with pigeon peas and tostones and after 25 minutes they only served a tasteless plain white rice with under-cooked tostones. I let the waitress know of my discomfort but she only apologized. The food was horrible and they send me the check for $35, I said the that was wrong and they said that was correct so I asked for the menu and showed the price was wrong, again they just apologized. So fortunately I checked the price before leaving. Another customer at the door mentioned he was also frustrated because of he also had a recent bad experience..

Went yesterday with a family of 5 all the way from west Orlando. Sad to say each one of us had a complain and left very disappointed, the food was terrible. The rice and gandules lack salt. The bacalaitos was very thin and hard. The chicken was blend tasteless the mofongo was hallow inside no garlic or pork skins (chcharones) you had a top cover and sides of mofongo empty inside. The shrimp scampi had no garlic nor butter. The mix seafood was tasteless. It was not a good experience first and last time and would never recommend. The prices extremely high for the quality of food.
I don’t like leaving this kind of review but it was just an awful experience.
