Had the steak tacos and steak tostada, absolutely outstanding! What I love is that all ingredients are fresh. Surprised to get chips and salsa with my order, such a wonderful surprise and so delicious. As they use an air fryer, the food is fresh, warm and you can taste all ingredients!
Finally, don’t forget the churro bites, the best ones around town (and I know my churros!) ❤️

You have to get to Roosevelt Island and this taco place! The owner is as sweet, kind and taco knowledable as can be! Oh and wait…. Don’t think it’s just tacos because the sauces, quesadilla, etc are perfection and fresh beyond! Get a ball and play Cantinko… then get your token and come back again! I already cannot wait. Best gem I’ve found in NyC trips yet!

A very well addition to Roosevelt Island. Alex, Kat and Ryan are very welcoming and provide top tier food that the island was missing. Also trust them when they say their sauces are spicy .

I’ve typically order a burrito (carne asada) from them and it’s been cooked really well. Pairing it with their Angry Habanero and/or Pink’s Purple sauce helps elevate the flavors of their dishes further. My girlfriend has been trying other options on the menu and they are great too.

If your order is over $25, then you get a chance at “Cantinko” for either a free item or a discount towards your next meal. It’s a nice and fun way to give back to your customers and I’m all for it.

Overall, this spot is a must try for anyone coming to Roosevelt island. Location is very convenient as it’s right next to the subway station, perfect for if you’re about to head out or coming back home.

A welcome new addition on RI!!! Opened by two Roosevelt Islanders, this is a fantastic Tex Mex place that just opened this week. Tried the chopped cheese burrito tonight and it tasted great. The staff were super friendly and responsive to customers. Can’t wait to try their entire menu… (Korean tacos!!!). I think this is just what the island needed!
Edit: the more menu items I try, the more I love this place!

Roosevelt Islander’s prayers answered! Finally an excellent taco spot for dine-in or takeout. The tacos are truly authentic and packed with flavor, and the atmosphere is just as great.

They even have a fun Plinko board where you can win every time you play.
Alex and Kat, the owners, are amazing—hands-on, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They create a warm, family-style environment that perfectly complements the one-of-a-kind food.

Highly recommended. A must-visit on Roosevelt Island.

What a fantastic addition to Roosevelt island! I’m adding to my review now having been several times. What a happy place this is! Alex and Kat are gracious, super friendly and generous. Pinks is an inventive twist on Mex, they call it Mex-NYC and it fits, the chopped cheese burrito is SoooOOOooo good. It soothes the soul (I like it with the white sauce). The K-Town tacos are a great take on Korean. And of course the Mole Burrito (they will sell you extra mole sauce if you ask) is delicious.

Online ordering and delivery island-wide is coming soon so whether you live in their building or up at The Octagon, Pinks is in your future! And ping pong balls can get you a free surprise! It’s also very kind friendly 🙂

If I could give this place more than five stars I would! The food was very fresh and tasty the quesadilla so cheesy and delicious. Great quality food for a great price. Alex was an absolute delight even let us try the guac and soft serve complementary. Would highly recommend and love supporting a local gem like this.

So I did not realize there are no beans in the bowls (you can only add two toppings when you order on their iPads, so I maybe foolishly added two salsas instead of the “hummus” (?) option), tried to add guac but had to add it as a side ($4.25). So my vegan bowl came with just rice, two types of salsa, and squash. For the price for a vegan meal, it would be good to have a more filling topping like beans? Maybe I was expecting something different. Will happily update my review if they improve their vegan meal option, would love to see them succeed. But for now as a vegan it makes more sense to take the train one stop to Chipotle I fear.

Owners are friendly, the place itself is fun with a giant pinball style machine on the wall which is a cute source of free entertainment while you wait.

Most importantly the food is really quite good. In addition to typical Mexican cuisine they offer new York centric Mexican fare, like a burrito inspired by halal carts or chopped cheese. I got a mole burrito and some chicken parm tacos and really liked both – in fact, I like the mole burrito so much that I’m writing this on my walk over to order another one.

Overall a nice addition to RI, which is surprisingly spare in options. It’s also right next to the Starbucks, sush, pizza place and bar, so it’s in a good location.
