If you’re looking to experience Indian cuisine beyond the usual menu staples, Pink Saffron is a true standout! This place had authentic flavors from India, especially Western India and Maharashtrian cuisine, which I have not seen in DMV!

There were plenty of great options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians, and every dish we tried felt intentional and well crafted. The Kaju Curry was very rich, and had the perfect level of spice and creaminess. Reminded us of Konkan! And it was refreshing to see Sitafal Rabdi on the menu, something I really didn’t expect! It was very well made.

A special shoutout to Chef and Co-founder Shashank Chatrapati. He personally came over to greet us and connected with us about the flavors and stories behind the menu. Him and his team are clearly passionate about what they are building!

If you enjoy exploring new flavors and want Indian cuisine that is commonly not found, this place is truly worth your time!

I recently dined at this incredible Indian restaurant, and it’s easily one of the most authentic spots I’ve visited in a long time. The menu is refreshingly unpretentious, focusing on real flavors rather than flashy gimmicks, and the authenticity shines through in every bite. The spice levels are true to traditional Indian cooking—bold, fragrant, and uncompromising, yet perfectly balanced.

Vegetarians will especially love this place. The variety and depth of the vegetarian options are outstanding, with each dish crafted with as much care as any meat entrée. Our host, Ankush, delivered truly exceptional service. He guided us through the menu, checked in often without being intrusive, and even crafted a custom off-menu drink when we couldn’t choose between two cocktails. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink selections were impressive and thoughtfully curated.

Appetizers arrived quickly and were packed with flavor, and the main dishes were just as delicious—rich, comforting, and clearly made with expertise. Overall, the experience felt warm, genuine, and memorable.

If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant ASAP—before word gets out and getting a reservation becomes impossible.

Love the pink! The atmosphere is nice and the music wasn’t too loud. It’s very neat and clean. The staff was very polite and helpful recommending dishes. The Indian hot spicy level wasn’t as spicy as I thought but lots of flavor. Food tasted fresh. Not sure what region this style of food is but the spices aren’t too overpowering.

I recently visited Pink Saffron Indian Restaurant with my family and a friend, and I highly recommend it. Every dish we ordered—the Lucknowi Biryani, Garlic Naan, and Paneer appetizer—was delicious and authentically prepared. The presentation was excellent, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very economical for the quality offered.
The drink selection, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, was excellent. Pink Saffron stands out as the best authentic Indian restaurant in the DMV region. Don’t miss it—you won’t be disappointed.

A wonderful first visit! The staff are very friendly and the chef walked us through the spice levels available for each dish. They have some of the best samosas I’ve ever had. We look forward to returning to our new favorite Indian restaurant!

FINALLY! Moved to Pentagon City 2yrs ago & couldn’t believe there wasn’t an Indian restaurant in the area. We got excited when we saw the signs that this restaurant was coming. Went for lunch today & was not disappointed. We started with the samosas, and had the paneer pasanda & kala rassa with some garlic naan. Glad to have Pink Saffron in our neighborhood!

I ordered take out. The biryani was delicious. The only note I have is a preference – the flavor was great, but I would order it spicy next time! It was served with a side of raita, which unfortunately wasn’t to my taste. I prefer my raita on the savory side and this version was pretty sweet. If you prefer a savory raita, you might want to ask if they can adjust it. I’m glad there’s finally an Indian restaurant in Pentagon City! Looking forward to trying their other dishes.

Most authentic pav bhaji I’ve had in usa so far. We ordered garlic naan and nawabi kofta as well. Both were yummy.
