This was a very cute restaurant. My friend and I stopped in on our way to a wedding for some breakfast to go. Normally I would never spend $17 on a breakfast croissant, however it was delicious and perfectly filling. My friend had biscuits and gravy which she said was very good as well. Would love to come back to dine in as the restaurant was adorable and the staff were very nice

Charming, Victorian place just off the main street in historic Independence. I had the chorizo frittata which was delicious and came served with very unique, crispy potatoes and fresh pico de gallo. The biscuits are huge and yummy and my chai latte came in the largest cup I’ve ever been served. This quaint place is a relaxing and quiet spot and reasonably priced for what you get. A definite must on your historic downtown tour of Independence, OR.

Super cute and quaint, reminded me of home (I’m from rural Kansas), staff were friendly and amicable. We had breakfast, it was delicious. Love The entire vibe, met some regulars, excellent experience.

Amazing little cafe! Family owned and operated. Maria is an absolute angel and delivers delightful food and service. If you haven’t already, you have to try! The fried potatoes with cheese are savory and pop with flavor but she won’t give the recipe, believe me I asked! Easy to read menu with a variety of options but not overwhelming. Generous portions, amazing service, great tasting food and drinks!

The curly fries are amazing! The burger too! The Caesar salad was good but croutons would have made a classic. No cocktails but a good beer and wine selection.

I have wanted to come here for years and finally got the chance this morning. After reading many of the reviews I was a bit skeptical but took a chance.

Many of the reviews mentioned that under the new management they experienced poor service, small portions, and mediocre food. Unfortunately, my experience was only slightly better than most of sounds like.

Portion size was not small. However size certainly does not reflect quality and sadly that was my experience. The biscuits and gravy were huge, however, they were bland and generic. They lacked flavor entirely. The Pink House Pancakes was your standard breakfast diner staple and it met the basic metric but definitely left us lacking. The worst part of that is that the price point for these basic breakfast meals was $5 higher than any other mom and pop breakfast spot. Entirely unnecessary to be that expensive.

Our service was great in the first half, but all of a sudden our waitress disappeared, we too experienced what so many other patrons expressed before, and were forgotten about.

The location is cute but that cuteness is fleeting. We were sat outside and there is a decrepit building on one side and a disaster of a home only feet away. I would not recommend and would not try again.

Great spot for breakfast lunch and dinner a cross from the Independence movie theater. We had dinner there. My wife had the delicious paprika chicken, and I had the spinach salad with chicken. I believe this house was built in the 1800s. Quite a charming cozy place to enjoy a meal in.

It was uncomfortable to have the server, cleaning windows as we arrived, then serve our food between window washing. No conversation, just felt likecwe were inconvenience Food quality was mediocre, prices were quite high for the quality. The house was cute, but split in small rooms, everyone was in the same room so no real privacy and crowded with only a few people, instead of spreading people out.

Love this place, the service and decor is excellent. They use cups from their china cabinet and have a frosted pink Christmas tree. Food was nicely made. The only disappointment is their offering of tea that is a very standard choice of Stash tea rather than offering higher quality brands such as Taylor of Harrogate or Republic of Tea, or similar.

Excellent small town cafe. Family owned business with very friendly staff. We learned about the history of the family who owns and still operates it. Beautiful little historic home with a cozy vibe while eating. Highly recommend if passing through, or staying over near Salem. We had breakfast which was excellent!!
