I went in today for breakfast at 4pm. Gotta love a 24-hour breakfast joint. This is one of the best in SF. Huevos rancheros hit the spot. They’re served with black beans, eggs of your choice, corn tortillas, avocado, sour cream, salsa. I cut it all up and blended it together for a delicious concoction. I paired mine with coffee, and the coffee comes out hot with plenty of refills. It took a while for the waitress to come back around and place the order but once I placed it, the food came out relatively quickly. Great old school diner.

A step back in time to ambiance, prices, service, huge servings! Great food! I loved the “Mighty Moose”. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, chicken fried steak I never had to ask for a refill on my coffee. I didn’t ask but the gentleman running it looked like he could have been the son of the original owner.

I got tired of the catered food at the Westin and wanted a hearty meal. The local IATSI crew recommended “ The mighty moose “.
Insanely large platter full of well executed biscuits and gravy over hash browns with a chicken fried steak and eggs.
The food is not the prettiest but it sure was delicious. The add on chicken fried steak for $3 is a great deal but an appetite is needed when ordering this platter, because it is huge !!!
Service was quick as they got me in and out in 25 minutes which i appreciated.

We wanted to try an American Diner right before new years eve so we tried this place which was just around the corner from our hotel. The place did not disappoint. My son had the Pinecrest breakfast and he said it was the best. I had the patty melt and it was a perfect diner experience for us.

I had a great experience at Pinecrest Diner! I was seated quickly, and the staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish. My order arrived faster than expected — I tried the Pinecrest Platter with French toast, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a solid spot for a satisfying meal — I’ll be back!

Great place to grab a bite before the show at the Curran! I really liked the turkey burger. I swapped a turkey patty for the beef on one of the options. My friend called ahead and they were very happy to accommodate a GF meal.

I’m someone that’s from Austin, not SF so this review might hit a little different. I’ve seen a lot of diners close down in Austin due to rising costs, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in San Francisco.

As soon as I walked in, it was a little hard to find a spot because this place was so busy despite it starting to get late.

That said, once I sat down, the service was decent. I struggled a bit to get refills and a food order in maybe because they were so busy, but once I did things started to move more quickly from there.

The belgian waffle I got with chocolate chips was literally one of the best diner waffles I’ve had in my life, plus I got a neat show seeing one of the cooks make food in front of me with an open flame.

I’ll definitely hit this place up next time I come to San Francisco, this diner was one of the places that made me want to come back!

I went there for dinner as the whole “open 24 hours” thing seemed quite appealing. Ended up ordering a beef patty with chips and a couple of drinks. To be honest, the food was nothing special at all, rather average really, and certainly not cheap for what it was. On top of that, the staff weren’t particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.
