I had a very disappointing experience today. I was helped by Patricia and ordered a coffee and a Cuban sandwich to go. My coffees were prepared almost immediately, but I ended up waiting 20 minutes for the sandwich. When I asked about the delay, Patricia became irritated and snapped that it took a long time because it was ‘baked.’
I’ve never had a Cuban sandwich take that long, and the timing was poorly managed. Since the coffees had been sitting out the entire time, I asked if she could remake them so they would be fresh for the people I was buying them for. Patricia became even more frustrated and showed a lot of attitude. To make matters worse, when she finally remade the drinks, she made them incorrectly. And well the sandwich was also a total disaster. This was my first time here, and it will definitely be my last.

Even though we don’t speak Spanish and clearly had no idea what we were doing, the staff were very kind and helpful. The cafe con leche was DELICIOUS! We tried five different pastries and loved them all.

I am a loyal customer of Pinecrest bakery on 67th and 8th street. I come here on a daily/weekly basis. Amazing staff and customer service. If you want a great colada or cortadito or just a pastelito, ask for la Chiquita Tairi in the mornings, and Reysel “Rey” in the afternoons. They know me by name and they always treat me like i’m VIP.

I recently visited Pinecrest Bakery on 8th Street and 67th Avenue for the first time. I was assisted by a young woman named Yami, who was exceptionally polite and courteous. Unfortunately, the overall service experience was affected by another employee—identified by her red hair and purple shirt—who appeared to be more focused on her phone than on assisting customers.
This lack of attentiveness resulted in an extended wait, despite Yami’s clear effort to manage the situation professionally and efficiently. It was disappointing to see a team member disengaged while others were left to handle the workload.
On a positive note, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. Yami provided excellent service once she was able to assist us. However, it would have been a significantly better experience had all staff members demonstrated the same level of dedication and professionalism.
I hope management is aware of these dynamics and encourages consistent customer service standards across the team.
