Bad service, 430 on a Sunday 3 people working and the tables and place looked dirty. But worst is I asked my partner for napkins to clean the table and the woman behind the counter instead of saying give me a second ill clean it showed us where the napkins were. Not even a fake smile. As for the food pastelitos Cubanos are the same everywhere. Now people is coming in and they are all inside….yikes first ans last.

There are places you visit for sustenance, and then there are places that become woven into the fabric of your daily routine; sanctuaries where food nourishes both body and spirit. Pinecrest Bakery in Homestead has become exactly that for me, particularly during the afternoon shift.

Finding an establishment that consistently delivers excellence across every menu item is increasingly rare, yet Pinecrest Bakery achieves this with grace and authenticity. Their house croquettes arrive at perfect temperature, with that impeccable brown exterior that shatters delicately at first bite, giving way to a creamy, perfectly seasoned interior that speaks to generations of Cuban culinary tradition. The Cuban coffee colada is rich, robust, and sweetened to perfection; the kind of coffee that awakens your senses and reminds you why this tradition has endured.

The cheese flan deserves special mention. Silky texture, delicate sweetness, the way it trembles on the plate; this is flan elevated to an art form. The egg omelette sandwich is hearty and satisfying, with fluffy eggs and fresh bread working in perfect harmony. The spinach empanadas are flaky and generously filled, landing in that ideal middle ground that only comes from true mastery. And the natural orange juice tastes like sunshine; bright, fresh, and vibrant with no artificial aftertaste.

But what truly elevates Pinecrest Bakery from excellent to extraordinary is the afternoon shift team. I must specifically acknowledge three exceptional individuals: Nayeli, Yaimary, and Dariannys. These three women embody everything hospitality should be. They greet customers with genuine warmth, remember regular orders, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels like family. Nayeli’s attentiveness and kind demeanor, Yaimary’s efficiency coupled with her welcoming smile, and Dariannys’s ability to make every customer feel valued, these aren’t just employees doing a job. These are professionals who take pride in their work and understand they’re not just serving food; they’re creating experiences and building community.

In an era where genuine customer service can feel like a lost art, these three exemplify what it means to truly care about the people you serve. They’ve turned my visits into moments I genuinely look forward to, knowing I’ll enjoy exceptional food and be greeted by familiar faces who make me feel at home.

To anyone seeking authentic Cuban cuisine served with heart and soul, I cannot recommend Pinecrest Bakery of Homestead highly enough, especially during the afternoon shift. You’ll come for the food, but you’ll return for the people.

With deepest gratitude and appreciation, a very satisfied customer.

’ve ordered catering from Pinecrest Bakery many times in the past and have always had good experiences, which is why this situation was so disappointing.

Earlier this week I placed a catering order for my nephew’s birthday. Unfortunately, the morning of the party he woke up with a stomach flu — an unforeseen circumstance. I began calling the bakery at 6:30 a.m. to see if there was anything that could be done, but I was unable to reach anyone. I then drove to the bakery in person to explain the situation.

I understand businesses have cancellation policies, and I was not expecting a guarantee of a refund. However, what was extremely disappointing was the complete lack of empathy or willingness to even listen to the situation. The employee who assisted me was dismissive and clearly uninterested in helping or escalating the issue to a manager.

Out of frustration, I made a comment in Spanish about now having to figure out what to do with all the food. It was not directed at the employee personally, as I understand she does not make the policies, but she took offense and her attitude became even more rude.

The most disappointing part of this experience was not the policy itself, but the poor customer service and lack of professionalism. Other vendors we had booked for the party — including Publix and the bounce house rental company — were extremely understanding and accommodating given the circumstances.

Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception of Pinecrest Bakery, and I will be choosing other bakeries for future family events and business catering.

I hope management reviews this feedback and considers training staff on how to handle unexpected situations with empathy and professionalism.

Pinecrest Bakery never disappoints! The service is incredibly fast, even during busy times, and the quality of their Cuban bakery items is consistently excellent—from fresh pastries to perfectly made classics. A special shoutout to Annie, who provided outstanding service with a friendly attitude and great attention to detail. She made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the service!

I’m at this bakery almost everyday & have always had a wonderful experience. The coffee is great & I always get a chicken-bowl which I cant resist. The cakes and pastries I sometime treat myself too are also top-notch. Most of all, I am always treated with care by the lovely women behind the counter who are patient, cheerful and always have a smile. They are prompt and helpful. I certainly do intend to be there everyday with my laptop, working for a bit, enjoying my bowl and the coffee. Thank you Pinecrest Homestead!

From the moment you step inside, the bakery fills the air with irresistible Cuban aromas and a display of fresh, flaky pastries that make it hard to choose. Morning service is exceptional — staff move with warmth and efficiency, turning a routine stop into a friendly ritual. The food is consistently excellent, from perfectly brewed coffee to savory sandwiches made with care.

Special mention for Ania: she brightens every visit with genuine attention and a welcoming smile. Ania remembers regulars, offers thoughtful suggestions, and treats each order like it matters, which makes the whole place feel like a neighborhood favorite.

If you want authentic flavors and service that feels personal, this bakery is a must‑visit — come hungry!
