Disappointed but I’ll be back. I’ll explain why I will be back after a bad experience.
I took friends to this restaurant after my husband and I had an amazing experience. I was excited to show my friends the view and have them taste wonderful items from the menu. The view was great. We had the best table in the restaurant. The food experience started bad and continued to be bad.
No birria tacos on Tuesday. The website highlighted this dish. Birria tacos is what I really wanted. So I started with chips and queso. The queso was like white colored water, not thick and cheesy. My quesadilla came out and it was great. The server was not clear on what came on the quesadilla but assured me that I can have what I want on it. A little confusion since I wanted to know how they prepare it, not build my own, like a fast food shop. The quesadilla was good, however. My friends meal were all very disappointing. The sandwich had dried burnt bacon. The burger and fries were cold. The most disheartening was the Mississippi chicken and grits that was served with mashed potatoes instead. No one informed us they were out of grits. To make up for the disappointing meals, we were offered a dessert. A brownie was ordered but it was topped with marshmallows. This was not in the description.
Our server was lovely. A staff apologized for our experience. She shared the chef quit and the sous chef was in the hospital. She also admitted she needs to review the menu descriptions better.
We think the reason the restaurant still exists is because there is some type of food credit on the golf memberships. I don’t think this restaurant can survive as a stand alone, although the concept is wonderful.
I won’t bring any friends to this restaurant again. However, my husband and I will be back because we really like the idea of an independent restaurant offering top tier food. We hope the next time our expectations will be met as it was in our first experience.

Pine and Oak Country Club truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful structure and the serene, picturesque views that set the perfect backdrop for an exceptional dining experience.

GABBY was our server. She was phenomenal. Convenient if you’re near Orlando area. Magical Dining was in effect so I imagine that effected the kitchen but we were impressed by the decor, energy & views. Menu was diverse. There was a slight problem with the truffle fires but that’s when we met WENDY and she went above and beyond to make the rest of our experience enjoyable. Will be coming back & have already recommended this spot to a few of my close friends.

This establishment provided an exceptionally delightful experience. From the moment we walked in the ambiance, views, even the music, was entertaining and the service, and food were all of the highest quality, and I have no negative feedback to provide. Situated at the clubhouse on the golf course, it offers pleasant views of the green. The interior is very inviting, with a pro shop conveniently located to the side. However, the cuisine was the true highlight of the day. Our palates were delighted by the exquisite flavors and impeccable preparation of every dish. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience and would highly recommend this establishment. I look forward to returning for another visit in the future.

The Pine and Oak Tavern which is open to the public at the Rio Pinar Golf Course was an excellent choice for an 80th Birthday Party for my husband! Wendy Gray, the Tavern’s Event Coordinator, was extremely experienced and sensitive to our tastes in suggesting and helping us plan a delightful room set up and menu selection for the party. She arranged tasteful table decor and a wonderful table arrangement for our party of ~25. Her experience and suggestions proved to be invaluable in making the evening a huge success. Wendy was helpful in setting up our slide show presentation. The Tavern’s Buffet Servings were top quality, delightfully delicious, and meticulously prepared as well as continuously replenished. The serving staff couldn’t have been more friendly and gracious! Jeremy, the Bar Tender was excellent – making sure guests had the type of beverage they would completely enjoy. Thank you Wendy Gray and Staff at The Pine & Oak Tavern for a most memorable 80th Birthday Party. Thank you Wendy Gray — I would highly recommend The Pink & Oak Tavern to even the most discerning of customers!

We live right around the block and finally made it here after it’s been open 2 years. We love the Rio Pinar Country Club and this restaurant is a great addition. Beautiful dining room with huge windows to see the golf course. The food was delicious. The drinks are too. We will definitely visit again!

We just finished our first visit and will definitely be back soon. We shared the wings (Nashville hot), which were excellent. I had the Smokehouse rib eye and my husband had the etouffee. My steak was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sides were delicious. Our drinks were also great! The staff were super friendly and attentive.

We had our monthly girls night out here. We participated in BITE30, so we ordered from the prefixed menu. We started with the short ribs nachos, followed with the salmon, and took the Keylime pie dessert home. I gave the food three stars, it was tasty, but room temperature. Damien was our server and he was very attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The drinks were delicious, so we will definitely have to come back for happy hour.

Enjoyed an exceptional dinner for magical dinning. My appetizer was the bang bang shrimp which was awesome. The highlight of the night was the seabass, the dish was packed with flavor and the texture was just right. Last I had the toffe cake which was mouth watering as well. I don’t want to fail to mention Tyler took really good care of us and made our experience 10/10.

I came for Bite30 and the food did not disappoint. The meatballs were very good. They weren’t full of filling, had a great ratio of cheese and a tasty red sauce. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the asparagus was not overcooked. The rice was bland but I put it with the plum puree or the glaze that was on the salmon, delicious. I’m not a fan of bread pudding, but their bread pudding is really good. It’s nice and gooey on the inside and the fresh strawberries in the middle, don’t hurt it at all. It also comes with this cute little ball of vanilla ice cream. They seem to have some really good happy hour deals. I think that I will definitely be coming back to dine again.
