Last night in LA (staying in Abbeville) and nothing is open on a quiet Sunday evening…. Found Pinchers on Yelp and thought, why not? We were starving and weren’t sure what to expect, but let me tell you… don’t think twice, just GO (geux?) and you won’t regret it. We had the catfish (we chose fried) and shrimp (we selected grilled) and grilled broccoli. The broccoli was a wee bit soft but had a great flavor, the catfish was so clean and the corn meal batter on it so light, not greasy at all, and so flavorful. The shrimp was very fresh, clean tasting as well, and delicious. Mallory, our waitress, was so friendly and kind, informative and a true gem when it comes to the service industry, Pinchers should be lucky to have her! Our food was great, our experience was great and we were thrilled to learn that Pinchers, though it seems “chain like”, it is NOT. It’s local! The owner started out in a food truck and decided to open a brick and mortar. So glad he did! We will DEFINITELY be back! Ask for Mallory, she’s truly a diamond in the rough when it comes to the service industry!

The food does not disappoint. I had the burger. It was perfectly delicious with the juicy meat patty and the sweet Hawaiian bun to top it off. The homemade chips were crunchy with just the right amount of salt.

We love pinchers at both locations! The crawfish rangoons are a must. Everything we have had there is always good. It’s also very hard to choose bc there is so much to offer on their menu. I want to keep going back to try everything!

This was our first trip out here to the grub lot I was super excited because I have been stalking them on social media and dreaming of going there. I got the shrimp po boy and my husband got the catfish piro I believe it was called. The food was excellent only downfall my drink was not even cold that was a big disappointment, otherwise they would have got five stars I’ll definitely be back but next time I’ll make sure I get a cold drink.

In all of Acadiana you will not find better fried catfish than at Pinchers. Nor will you find such a generous portion of catfish on your plate. They use high quality FRESH catfish in a light and perfect batter, always fried fresh to order. The fish & chips includes homemade potato chips that are very thin and delectable with a light salty flavor that is not tossed on the chips but IN THE CHIPS. Amazing! The menu is limited but all of the food is excellent. Can you tell, fish & chips are pretty much what I always order? It’s not a fancy place but it is fancy food – the presentation, too – and the chef/cook knows exactly what she is doing – probably the owner, too. All of the help is the best, too. You must visit this tiny spot in Kaplan and bring the whole family. Affordable, fun, and absolutely delicious. The Pincher sauce is da bomb, too. I would eat there every day if I could. Ca c’est bon, sha!

Hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had. We all got different meals so we could try it all. Everything was amazing. I would definitely head to Erath any time I’m close just to eat here. Also the service was outstanding and Kevin the owner was such a pleasure to visit with. Would highly recommend Pincher’s to anyone. Will be back.

Ordered online and arrived to hot and yummy boiled crawfish. They’ll even walk your order out, if you’d like. The price was more than reasonable and the flavor was great! I loved the addition of garlic to the seasoning, too! They have a fun menu with all types of novelty items. Can’t wait to try the crawfish mac & cheese or the crawfish sushi!
