Fresh is everything to a seafood restaurant, especially ours, and we try our best to deliver fresh seafood to your table each and every visit. Local fishermen and crabbers leave our shores daily and guide their boats out into the Gulf of Mexico to fish on behalf of Pinchers. They return each night with the best that the Gulf has to offer. They bring this precious catch to us and are one of the primary reasons for our success. In 2007, we purchased the Island Crab Company on Pine Island to serve as a fresh seafood facility for our restaurants. By having our own local facility, we can deliver fresh fish and shellfish to the table faster and fresher – whether its Grouper, Blue Crab, Stone Crab or some of the wonderful fish that you’ll see h…

The best food ever I loved our waitress with the blonde hair!! She was sweet I think her name was Katherine. Food was so delicious, definitely would come here again. There food was the bomb, 30$ for fish and 2 sides is so worth it!

I visited Pinchers expecting a lively seafood spot with fresh flavor and a memorable experience, but it ended up feeling more like a throwback chain restaurant than a standout coastal eatery. The atmosphere is casual — butcher paper on the tables, paper towels for napkins, and lots of “old-school” décor covering the walls. It reminded me of a 1990s TGI Fridays by the sea — fun in its time, but it could really use a modern refresh to attract today’s 30-something crowd.

The menu was broad but basic. Nothing particularly creative or unique, just the standard seafood options you can find almost anywhere: fried fish baskets, crab cakes, shrimp platters, and a few sandwiches. The food itself was fine but not impressive — decent portions, but overall pretty average in flavor and presentation. Definitely not what I’d consider a high-end fish place.

For the price point, I expected something a little more refined — maybe some signature dishes, local sourcing, or a fresh twist on traditional favorites. Instead, it felt more like a tourist stop than a destination restaurant. Service was friendly, but even that couldn’t make up for the lack of originality on the plate.

It’s not bad if you’re just looking for a casual seafood meal and don’t mind paying a bit more for the location, but if you’re hoping for something special or memorable, you might leave a little underwhelmed.

There were four of us. We wanted great food and a place we could talk and enjoy the company. Pinchers was perfect. Our waitress Jaylyn was courteous, friendly and helpful. The drinks were satisfying. The Ahi tuna, crab & cheese dip, fries to order, crab cake for platter, grouper platter and stone crab claws were delicious. The order came out in a perfectly timed manner. Just what you want when enjoying friends.

I’m always skeptical about chains, but Pinchers really knocked it out of the park. Went here on a quiet Monday night around 8pm. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our server Shyann took great care of us throughout. Service was excellent overall.

Now on to the food. We had the boom boom shrimp appetizer, couldn’t even get a picture cause we inhaled it. I’d highly recommend trying them with the habanero hot sauce they’ve got on the table. I had the crab cake app cause I didn’t want sides, and the bbq shrimp(shrimp your way). Both were delicious! I’m a big fan of crab cakes and a lot of times, it doesn’t quite hit the spot- but this crab cake at Pinchers was excellent! I would go back again just for the crab cake.

Our server Carla was great and the food was definitely worth the price! We got shrimp baskets with two sides and everything was absolutely delicious. The conch bite appetizer was just incredible and it came with a delicious dipping sauce on the side.

Just a great place to stop when in the area. Close to where we are staying but really throw a dart find a picture and you have made a good choice. Drinks are two for one all day everyday. The atmosphere is really fun this particular spot has much room for seating great spacious area right on the water and excellent food selections.
My husband and I are both big fans of shrimp so we had shrimp dishes for lunch he got the beer which of course was two beers and I got the margarita.
We went here twice during our stay, the second time with friends.
Highly recommended I don’t think you can go wrong when you choose Pinchers. Pricing is fair and lots of food portions.

Food here is good. Service was fast and friendly. We came for lunch. It was very nice and quiet. I can see how it would get louder in the evenings-with 2 for 1 drinks. There’s even a bucket drink for $19. We had conch fitters and gator bites for apps. We got two grouper sandwiches and the kids ate free (cheeseburger and popcorn shrimp). The entire meal was $100. The almost exact same meal was $193 at another restaurant on Sanibel Island, and Pinchers’s food was much better. I’d recommend this place for sure and we’d definitely come back for more fresh seafood. It was delicious and affordable!
