As the name implies this restaurant is right on the chicago river. The view is gorgeous and the food and drinks are heavenly.
Although pinched by the river has a chic and elegant dining area with a big beautiful bar indoors for those cold winter days, summer time at Pinched On The River can’t be beat.
For drinks we tried the Mango Maria and the Watermelon Margarita. So refreshing!
We sstart with the Mushroom Pasta Flatbread and the Mediterranean Fish Tacos for our appetizers.
For our main entrees, we had the Poseidon Bowl (anazing!) and the Chicken Mushroom Pesto Pasta. The pesto was so good, I wanted more of it.
The deserts were outstanding and enough for 2 people each. Sea salt caramel cheesecake (so decadent) and the Beignets Charcuterie, just like the ones we had in new orleans. Be sure to eat them warm.
It’s gorgeous here relaxing, and comfortable, has great food and drinks with exceptional service!
What more could you ask for?
THIS IS A PLACE WHERE YOU SHOULD ONLY EAT THERE to get exactly what you order!!!!!! Every single time I try giving them a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance for take out… THEY ALWAYS DISAPPOINT EVEN MORE!!!! Orders are ALWAYS wrong when it’s take out, ALWAYS !!!! Yes, we check that we have everything before leaving the place but it’s so hard to check a wrap/roll because it would get so messy… Food is not cheap so they really need to make a lot of effort in making sure the orders are right for their clients !!!!!! We drove an hour again for a wrong order (Missing ingredients, they add whatever they want or they give you so little food for the money) ♀️… Lesson learned!!!!!! Don’t go back for take out food!!!!!! The 2 stars is because the food is delicious, that’s the only reason why we continue to go back … But now we might just dine in once a year … or just say goodbye to this restaurant.
-When we dine in the service is not great. That’s why we prefer to eat at home.
-The atmosphere of this restaurant is good.
We spent $150 today !!!
The Mediterranean oriented cuisine, is on par with what I enjoy most.
Chevaps are legit and a rear find.
Fish tacos, and anything with tangy chicken can keep me happy for days.
Now that the weather is opening up I had the best time closing my dinner with an Old Fashioned drink by the river side tables. The atmosphere is really something out of an American movie.
I can’t lie when I say I am a fan.
I will drop by even to get my coffee, whenever possible.
Update: food is still good, though service could be improved. On our last visit the servers were trying to take our plates away, even though we were still not finished, or bring the dessert menu while some people were still eating the main course.
The hostess, I think her name was Sheena or something similar, was very nice and asked if my and my partner were on a date and took a wonderful picture of us with the backdrop of the river.
Wonderful atmosphere too!
