My boyfriend and I are big wine enthusiasts, which led to our excitement of checking out Pinard and we were genuinely impressed! Bijan was our sommelier and server for the evening (how cool is that?!) and he is an absolute GEM. It’s evident that he is passionate about his craft, and he made the wine feel so approachable while providing us the best pairings for our meal. I told him that I enjoy Sauvignon Blanc and he selected a lovely Sancerre that I wouldn’t have selected on my own. Mara welcomed us in at the host stand and immediately set the tone for the evening with her hospitality. The wine is great and expertly paired with good food, but the people are truly the heartbeats here. Perfect for date night as it feels intimate, not loud, and the booths are stunning.
You must try the queso de Cabra as the herbed goat cheese and red bell pepper tomato sauce are PERFECTION

Love. This. Place. The first thing we saw upon entering was the very clubby club room, which was hosting the release party for the wine club members. We didn’t enter because we are not members (yet), but members can dine in the club or sip their wine on the couch in front of the gas-flame fireplace. The club has two reasonably priced levels, each of which releases two bottles of wine every other month, curated by the very friendly, knowledgeable, and well-travelled owner. The clubs also provide some discounts on food and wine. In keeping with the wine bar theme, the bar is dominated by a long, temperature-controlled wine dispenser holding at least 30 bottles on tap, from which you can choose 6 oz. or 9 oz. pours, or 3 oz. tasting flights of red or white. So much wine, so little time. The curated wine choices were not common names and everything we tried was good. Although Pinard calls itself a wine bar, it’s also a top-flight restaurant. Both the dining room and the patio offer well-spaced white-tableclothed tables, and the patio has moveable propane heaters for cooler nights. The menu offers boards, small plates, soups and salads, steaks and chops, and a selection of other comfort-foodish mains. In many restaurants, I see one or two dishes that attract me. Not so here. I had a tough time choosing between many dishes that struck my fancy. We chose, and loved, the Cacio e Pepe Caesar and the short rib ravioli, which was a special. Service was excellent. Let’s see what should I say first their water was great. Their appetizers were great. Their food and salad were great. The service was unbelievable. And the ambience was absolutely fantastic. so if you’re looking for a place to go to enjoy yourself think of this place I did and I enjoyed every minute. It was not super loud; I could actually hear everyone in my party speaking to me.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this delightful restaurant. We received a warm welcome at the door, setting the tone for the evening. Our sommeiler/server Bisjan demonstrated good wine knowledge, and we enjoyed chatting with him during his efficient and gracious service. We tried several dishes, including the queso de calabra, the stuffed mushrooms, the mussels, and the beet and watermelon caprese salad. Everything was delicious and attractively presented. We tried the Basque cheesecake, which was very tasty and cooked to perfection. We found the olive oil lemon cake a bit dry. We enjoyed our glasses of recommended whites and reds (and could have continued sampling all evening – what fun!). What a great spot.

This is such an awesome spot. Great wine bar with exceptional food! Our bartender, Ali, was wonderful. The steak frites and Parisian chicken were truly both 10/10. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, good quality meats, etc. We sat at the barn and it was a great setting. Can’t wait to come back for happy hour!

My wife and I have been excited about Pinard’s opening, and as soon as it opened, we went for dinner. What a fantastic experience it was. We started with an appetizer and drinks, and the bartenders wasted no time. They were fast and skillful, getting our cocktails to us almost instantly, while also making them delicious. Pinard has a thoughtfully curated wine list that was the highlight of our night. We chose a few of their exclusive wines to pair with our dinner, guided by the excellent recommendations of the wait staff, who are both knowledgeable and attentive.
When our meals arrived, we were blown away. The food was sensational, unbelievably fresh, vibrant flavors at an affordable price point. Toward the end of our meal, the owner, Letty, came by our table to check in. She was incredibly warm, genuinely excited to have us there, and even asked if we had any feedback. We were stumped and honestly couldn’t think of a single thing to suggest. When we asked about the wines, Letty shared details about their specialized equipment that keeps more wines on tap while preserving their freshness. Her passion for the restaurant and dedication to her guests and staff is evident.
The ambiance of Pinard transports you, it’s a European escape right here in Arizona. The decor and atmosphere have that rare, authentic charm that makes you feel like you’re dining in the French countryside. The wine selection, especially the recommendations, paired flawlessly with each dish.
On the night we visited, they happened to be showcasing their members only wine lounge attached to the main dining area. It’s cozy, peaceful, and beautifully designed, creating an intimate setting that’s perfect for wine lovers. I’m excited to join as a member and can’t wait to return. The idea of having a local spot with exclusive, curated wines is exactly what I’ve been hoping for in this area.
Pinard is a must visit. It’s unlike anything else around here, you’d have to fly to Europe for a comparable experience. We’ve added Pinard to our favorites list and look forward to making it a regular spot. Hats off to the entire Pinard team, keep up the amazing work!

Have been to this restaurant many times. Bijan and Taylor are wonderful waiters and waitresses if you are looking for attentive service. The food is excellent and I highly recommend the prime filet with au poivre sauce. They also have a excellent wine club that provides discounts for dining, free tastings on Saturday and bi monthly wine releases. A real gem in North Scottsdale.

We came here for the first time during restaurant week and we LOVED it! The service was super friendly and well paced. This is the perfect place to go if you want to enjoy good conversation with friends or family, as you never feel rushed and the music/ambient volume is not loud at all. I also really appreciated that the tables were spaced out a bit more than your “typical” restaurant- it keeps things comfortable and you’re not hearing everything that the people around you are saying. The food was very good (we recommend the gazpacho and the veal!) and the wine list was even better- a nice balance of reds & whites with some interesting options. I just wish we lived closer because I would be here all the time!

Last night was the third time I have dined at Pinard, and all I can say is wow (I will be back for my fourth very soon)! It reminds me of the wonderful food I had while I lived in Europe! They have over 40 wines by the glass and many more by the bottle. Service was to perfection, the beef bourguignon, scotch egg, and braised pork were absolutely to die for. If you go anywhere in Scottsdale, let it be here!

A waiter knocked over the Champaign bucket and doused us with water. Not even a “I’m sorry. They tossed table linen on the ground, which did nothing to clean up the mess. The cheese board was mediocre at best. The grapes served were old. The best was the bread and butters. Wine was so-so. Overall will look elsewhere for a wine bar experience.
