From the moment you walk in, you know you’re in a spot that cares about quality, freshness, and treating people right. The atmosphere is simple, warm, and inviting—exactly what a good hometown café should feel like. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or just stopping by for something quick, it always feels like you’re being served by folks who genuinely enjoy what they do.
Now, the food… that’s where Pill Box Café really sets itself apart. Their sandwiches are phenomenal, packed with flavor and made with fresh ingredients that make every bite stand out. Personally, I have to brag on their Reuben—it’s easily one of my favorites anywhere. The meat is tender, the sauerkraut is balanced just right, the cheese melts perfectly, and the flavor is spot on. It’s the kind of sandwich that you look forward to before you even walk in the door.
And I have to give a special shout-out to their cucumber salad. I could honestly sit down and eat a full bowl of that by itself as a meal—it’s that good. Fresh, crisp, seasoned just right, and unbelievably refreshing.

Always a happy place! Great lunch selections from burgers from club sandwiches. Don’t miss the French dip and the potato salad and save room for dessert. Great staff, who will give you their honest opinion of what to order that day.

It was a small hole in the wall restaurant doing the best they could do and look more like a family type eating establishment. The food was average and the servers were polite. I’ve eaten there twice now but would not make a habit of it. Like I said it’s a family-owned restaurant just trying to make ends meet during this four-year crisis we’re going through. My estimate is it won’t get any better and it won’t get any worse.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch. We’ve been passing it for 6 years. The food was very good, waitresses VERY polite and they checked on us now and then, something that is overlooked in some other restaurants. Rest rooms were immaculate. Overall pleasant experience and recommended.
