Came here for a weeknight dinner with a friend after work and was able to make a same-day reservation online for 2 at the bar. Glad we made a reservation – while it was fairly empty when we first arrived, it soon filled up and the place was bustling with a full dining room! Staff was so friendly and highly attentive. This was our first time at this restaurant and they walked us through the menu and recommended dishes to us. Everything was SO. DELICIOUS! We highly recommend Piglet & Co!!! Here’s what we ordered:
– Honey Walnut Shrimp & Pork Toast (our favorite)
– Mushroom Party (my second favorite!)
– Szechuan Honey Chicken Wings
– side of Furikake Rice
– Pickle Party (we couldn’t decide which pickles to try…so why not all of them)
– Dessert was soooo good and I think called “Donut Sundae” or something like that…it was like a sweet donut bread with a floral/citrus yuzu kind of ice cream…regardless, I’m glad we ordered it!!

I enjoyed this girl’s dinner! Unique menu, dark space, and good service. The mushrooms were my favorite dish. The portion they recommended was far too much, so we had leftovers. I had high expectations for the shrimp toast, which was fine but disappointed me.

An underrated gem of a restaurant in San Francisco. Get the shrimp toast, binchotan grilled pork neck, and the pickle party!
I first experienced food & hospitality from Chef Chris and Marcelle before they had a brick & mortar; they had catered a friend’s wedding and it was the absolute best wedding food I’d ever had. When planning my own wedding this year, I immediately thought of their team. They were so flexible and great to work with, even with our unconventional vision of having hot pot at our wedding. We got tons of comments from our guests about it being some of the best hot pot they had ever had – super high quality vegetables and meats, and super delicious housemade broths and sauces.
They only do a couple of events a year – I’d absolutely highly recommend them for private event catering!!

It’s ok. Flavours were there, presentation is on point, but incredibly tiny portions of food for exorbitant prices. Service is top-tier and the atmosphere is wonderful. Not a bad spot for a small group of friends to enjoy some post-dinner bites over drinks, but definitely don’t come here for actual dinner unless you’re looking to thin down your wallet.
Had quite the spread of their menu. Nothing I would suggest in particular. Everything tastes as you expect, nothing more and nothing less. The one thing I would note is they like to use an abundance of sugar in all their dishes. Every tastes ever so slightly sickly sweet.
Overall, had a decent time.

I had just gotten back from Taipei and will be arriving to tell of the salad I had. It is excellent. I’ve tried every single Taiwanese restaurant in northern California, and they all are insufficient in flavor. Except for this places salad! The arranging of fried turnips with the salad is an taste I recommend to all, particularly any of Taiwanese heritage.

This restaurant is truly one of the best I’ve dined at in a long time. Every dish was outstanding, honoring Taiwanese flavors and California’s seasonality without any pretense. The binchotan-smoked Hokkaido scallop, doubanjiang-roasted cauliflower, and black bean clams were particularly exceptional. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was genuinely friendly. We can’t wait to return!

Truly excellent food. Innovative (and dare I say, elevated) takes on traditional Cantonese and Taiwanese dishes. We particularly enjoyed the confit cabbage, honey walnut shrimp toast, turnip cake salad, and especially the porridge. The porridge was a concentrated blast of umami, unexpected but welcome. I hope they succeed and become an SF/Mission mainstay.
Also, I enjoyed the old Jackie Chan flicks playing above the bar.

The brunch was very ok, flavor was mostly decent and the presentation was nice, but it didn’t really feel Taiwanese at all, but more generally Asian, and I wouldn’t come back for it again.
It’s also crazy expensive because all the plates are fairly tiny because they are doing tapas style.
Honey walnut shrimp toast was the best, chicken wings were the worst because there wasn’t a lot of meat and the seasoning was too vinegary.

My wife booked us bar seats at this spot knowing my penchant for street food-inspired cuisine, bonus because it’s Taiwanese based.
The restaurant itself is a nice spot, very casual. There are two massive TV’s behind the bar playing old martial art movies. It’s noisy, but not to the point where you’re having to yell or ask people to repeat themselves.
Food wise, awesome! The Fish & Chips were amazing; an interesting twist of a familiar dish. The ribs with the Mala sauce was great… tender, nearly fall off the bone! My wife is pescatarian and there were enough dishes for her to order or modify. Every dish we ordered was delicious!
As a bonus, we got to meet Marcelle, the co-owner, and she was lovely!
Anyways, we’ll definitely be back as there’s more on the menu to try out!!!

This food was amazing! Literally everything we got (which was nearly the whole menu). Pickles, shrimp toast, cauliflower, cabbage, ribs, ssam, potatoes…Piglet & Co. can do no wrong. Can’t wait to go back and bring more friends so we can try the rest of the menu.
