If you’re someone who enjoys chewing on okra stems (yes, the non-edible part), then you might actually love the fried okra here. It was oddly tasty… but required spitting out every other bite because of how woody and inedible the stems were.
The crispy pork chop was anything but crispy — it was soggy and disappointing. And honestly, just look at the mac and cheese in the photo… enough said.
The hush puppies were the one bright spot: hot, crunchy, and actually good.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This was a one-and-done visit for me. Never again.

Delicious!!!CASH ONLY! But sooooo worth it! We ordered: cheeseburger, fried okra, pulled pork, turnip greens, coleslaw, and Brunswick stew. And it all was stupendous. Full of flavor and fast. Don’t go to a fast food restaurant go here get your food and make your tummy happy!

The atmosphere is casual, very fun, and over all a whimsical place to eat for everyone. The decor has large and small antique treasures and memorabilia the owner has collected over time. Our table ordered a BBQ plate: excellent, a hot dog plate: excellent. The plate comes with a side and our French fries were very good. They also serve ice cream. The hot dogs were some of the best I have ever eaten. It was very busy when we were there but the service gets people through the line and seated quickly. You can’t miss it because it has big animal statues on the roof! We will be eating here again.

The food is fantastic! The service is superb! This antique local restaurant is a must visit. I picked the daily special for $11. The chicken enchilada was soooo good. Please visit and try all their food. Everything is delicious. We also tried their ice cream. Oh, it melts in your mouth. It was ab amazing experience. Let’s support local business ❤️

We have been going to piggy’s for years and years. They have the best milkshakes. Today I went in and bought two bbq sandwiches and one order of onion rings. The bill was 18.00 and change. While I was there I thought- dam for two sandwiches and one order of onion rings. Oh well. Then I get home and look to see what looks like McDonalds mini me sandwich. My wife was only ok but I left the table hungry. I should have stayed on my side of town and bought elsewhere. Very disappointing. I / will only going back for the milkshake- how can yall down size that. Gregg

I absolutely love this restaurant.I went to it for my first time on thursday and had the pulled pork plate with collard greens and baked beans and Hush Puppies and it was excellent, great taste, great price.I think I got that plate and my drink for like eleven dollars and change. We sat out doors.I absolutely loved that the waitress staff and the employees very friendly and very helpful. I definitely suggest if you’re in Hendersonville. Go try this place. They also have many different ice creams. We didn’t have any but others did. I will return soon.

Every home town should have a diner like this! Definitely a “locals place.” I went in craving a good cheeseburger and I got it! The burger patty was seasoned, juicy with crispy edges. The deluxe comes with lettuce, tomato, onion & mayo. You can get all the way with chilli & onions too. The young lady at the register was super friendly. Around 630pm and they were fairly busy. The menu is huge & prices are cheap! After your meal you can walk around next door to the ice cream shop. I feel so lucky to live near a family friendly diner like this. Everyone knows everyone and if you don’t you’ll still feel at home. The gentleman next to me even offered to pay for my meal! Thank you kind sir! I will definitely be back to order what he got…a barbecue plate as they look so delicious and many sides to choose from.
The only thing I would suggest is to make sure someone is keeping up with wiping down the tables!
