Pigeon & Whale was such a great experience from start to finish. My girlfriend and I started with the Shucker’s Choice, which was the perfect sampler to ease into the night. We followed it with the scallops, served in this incredibly creamy, flavorful sauce; honestly one of the standout dishes of the evening.

We kept the drinks flowing, and every cocktail we tried was excellent. We each had a couple of their espresso martinis, and they were so good we even ended the night with dessert that paired perfectly with them.

Overall, it was a beautifully done meal with great drinks and a really nice atmosphere. I’d definitely come back for another date night.

Pigeon & Whale is the kind of place that makes you sit back after the first bite and say, “Okay… I get it now.”

Everything tastes intentional, like it was tested, perfected, and then shown off just a little.

The vibe is relaxed but cool, the food hits way above its weight class, and you’ll leave wondering why you don’t eat here more often. In short: Pigeon & Whale doesn’t miss.

Excellent all around! Our waiter was amazing, the food was top notch, and the atmosphere was upbeat yet serene. My wife had an amazing birthday and the coolinary menu did not disappoint. I am missing some pictures cause the food was that good, but a surprise for me was the lady finger coffee desert. Thanks again !

Food was diverse yet on-theme and always tasted incredible. Basically a nautical theme, and most of the drinks are complex but have a reserved and dry edge to them. The food all brought lots of sharp contrasts in flavor. I had the market fish of the day, which was seared tile fish, with a goat cheese polenta, herb butter, cranberry compote and brussel sprouts. Crazy dish but it all worked harmoniously. To drink I had the “This Beet Is Sick” cocktail, which was sweet nutty arrack, beet juice, dill aquavit, all clarified to make a smooth, somewhat cocoa-y drink. And of course we started with two dozen oysters!

The service was top-notch; all the servers and the manager (I think) worked together to regularly clear our table and check-in.

Dessert was a mouse cookie medley and a pistachio grasshopper cocktail.

Can’t recommend it enough – just be sure to save up for this meal.

We had an absolutely sublime experience at The Pigeon and The Whale! While the food is top-tier, the service is what really made our night unforgettable. Our server and bartender, Cat, was phenomenal. She curated a perfect array of oysters for us to sample and gave us the inside scoop on the prix-fixe menu, which was a fantastic way to share and try everything.
Every single dish was a hit. The mussels were delicious, and the squid ink pasta with shrimp and cream sauce was rich and perfectly executed. Per Cat’s recommendation, we tried the swordfish schnitzel, and it did not disappoint—easily a highlight of the meal! We finished off with the lemony lemon cheesecake, which was the perfect bright ending to the evening.
The food is incredible, but Cat’s expert suggestions and attentive service truly leveled up the entire experience. If you’re in New Orleans, this is a must-visit!

A stylish interior is just gilding the lily on this yummy spot. Excellent selection of raw oysters and thoughtfully crafted cocktails. The blue crab salad was divine. Our server was delightfully helpful, and enthusiastic without being too fake. Very cool. I want to find one of those dreamy silver shell water pitchers!!!
The scallop dish was a little under.

Pigeon & Whale is an absolute gem. The decor alone sets the tone; bespoke, moody, and sexy without trying too hard. Service was flawless from start to finish, and I was thrilled to see Aaron (formerly of Doris Metropolitan). His knowledge of the menu, cocktails, and flavor profiles is unmatched, and he makes you feel instantly welcome.
The food? Unreal. Every dish was layered and balanced, but the standout for me was dessert, When Life Gives You Lemons. There aren’t words for how refreshing and vibrant it is. Bright, zesty, and impossible not to crave another bite.

10/10! Can’t wait to go back.
