Brisket was pretty good. I would say a 4. Pork ribs 3+. Sausage was fine. Potato salad was good. Coleslaw was pretty dry. Prices are up there with a top bbq restaurant. Fries are seasoned alot. Would get those for kids. They have a some stuff for kids to play on. Nice outside area.

Such a nice place to sit outside and relax. The chopped brisket sandwich and pulled pork potato were not that great. The meat was slathered in sauce so I don’t really consider it real bbq. I’d still go back and give their Mexican style BBQ a try or the sliced (not sauced) brisket. Mac and cheese was so incredibly good! Honestly, I really enjoyed chilling here for a bit.

Stopped at Pig Pen BBQ in Johnson City with my son—awesome find! The pulled pork sandwiches were money, and the pastor taco was packed with flavor. Great food, friendly vibes, and quick service. We’ll definitely stop again on our next time in the area.

Worth stopping at if you’re in the area! Amazing food, their “nachos” are loaded fries & their warm potato salad was sooo yummy. Wish we lived close as the outdoor area would be a favorite hang out, especially for those with kids!!

We had such a great time here! The kids’ area is great with lots of little houses and a playscape that kept them entertained and safe while we sat on the covered porch. The landscaping is really well done, and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and out. They also had football on, which is a big plus for my husband.
For food, we ordered the brisket, jalapeño sausage, potato salad, beans, chicken quesadilla, and chicken nuggets. The brisket was excellent, juicy and flavorful without being overly salty like some places. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had just the right kick of spice, which we loved. Everything we tried hit the spot.
The best part was being able to sip a rose while the kids played. It’s rare to find a place that keeps everyone in the family happy, but this spot nailed it. We’ll definitely be back!!

I don’t have enough good things to say about this new location of Pig Pen BBQ. The original in Dripping Springs is a family favorite of ours, and the food is DELICIOUS. This location really brings together the fact that BBQ is a family affair. There is a huge playscape area for the kiddos to play, a bar to keep the adults indulged, and plenty of delicious vittles to satisfy anyone’s tastes. We ordered the Brisket (burnt ends and moist pieces), Cheddar Jalapeno Sausage, Piggy Tails (which we ate most of prior to my photo, sorry), Baked Potato Salad, and Barbacoa Taco. The brisket was absolutely the pieces we ordered, some delicious and toasty burnt ends and delightfully moist and flavorful cuts… the rub is ever so slightly sweet and filled with flavor. The piggy tails are a must have… delightfully spiced and candied bacon (can you blame us for eating most of them before taking a picture?). The Cheddar Jalapeno Sausage has a delectable bite from the casing and it’s not overly spicy.. it has the flavor of Jalapeno which is great! The Baked potato salad is one of our absolute favorite sides… it reminds me of what grandma would cook for a homestyle BBQ… the kind of food that sticks to your bones. It’s just so good, definitely try it! I also enjoyed a frozen Jack Daniels… and on this hot day, I can’t even describe to you how delightful that was! The classic Jack Daniels and coke flavor in a slushy and who doesn’t like a slushy?! Seriously, you need to go. Take your whole family. Take your friends! Go get a taste of some delicious Texas BBQ!

We absolutely love this place. The owners and managers are so kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. And the food is amazing. The quesabirria tacos on the weekends are my favorite. But their new pizza that they’re trying out is the best pizza I’ve had.
This location also has an amazing play ground. It’s a great place to let our toddler run and play while we enjoy great food with friends!

Hands down the Best barbq for miles! This is now my go to place, and yes i will drive an hour to eat here, its delicious. Extremely clean kitchen is a plus.
Counter help was super nice, friendly and didn’t rush us through our order. The food was brought to us outside at one of the several picnic tables, in the shade. First bite, the pork ribs. Slap your momma, slap everyone! These are like rib candy! Perfect bite, right level of bark with a subtle sweet flavor. The brisket was the next bite, perfection. Onto a bite of street corn, lordy, how to decide the next bite! All of this deliciousness is competing for my attention. Seriously, I’ve had a lot of bbq, like any good Texan. This place is the real deal.

I found this location nicer than the one in Dripping Springs. I love the bbq sauce here because it’s sweet! I loved the cheese cakes! The mustard potato salad is perfect yumminess! The brisket and other sides are meh for me but to each their own. That wouldn’t stop me from coming back or recommending to at least try the place.
