The place reminds you of a old town cowboy saloon. When you walk in there’s a counter with the menu on the wall. You place your order there, and they give you a buzzer that will alert when your food is ready. If want a cocktail you have to go to the indoor or outdoor bar. The service was kool, but it’s a self serve type of spot. But if you go to the bar area, the bartender was good.
The food was awsome. My wife had the Pig Iron with bacon, and I chose the End of the line Burger. We shared the half fries and Onion Rings. I went to the bar and grabbed a paper plane and and Old Fashion.
The burgers were really tasty. They had the right amount of meat to bun ratio. Fresh produce and condiments, for the perfect bite. Additionally, the bacon they used was really nice. We really appreciated their style of fries. I’ve never had fries cut in this style before. They where crispy but yet soft at the same time. The onion rings where also spot on. The perfect crisp and a sweet onion center.
For dessert my wife had a chocolate shake, which was underwhelming. She loves chocolate milkshakes, but would not order one from here again.
Pig Iron has an awesome atmosphere…laid-back, stylish, and perfect for hanging out. The outdoor area is spacious and inviting, with a full bar that keeps the energy going. Great spot whether you’re grabbing a drink or settling in for a meal.
I ordered the tri tip torta with fries. The torta was decent…flavor was a bit mild for my taste, but still enjoyable. The fries, though, were a standout: super thin steak-style fries with a crispy snap that made them surprisingly addictive.
Menu has plenty of tempting options, and the vibe alone makes it worth a visit. Definitely a place I’d come back to, especially for drinks and that outdoor scene.
1: Food and Drinks
First off we found two hairs in our food
The menu has shrank. They used to have a bigger menu that varied and super high quality food. The quality used to be amazing. Now the menu is small, the food is mediocre and it doesn’t come with a side like it used to.
The cocktails used to be hands down the best on the coast. They were beautiful and elegant and tasted amazing. Now they are very mediocre and take a long time to get.
2: The Service
This used to be a very nice restaurant with great servers. Now you order your food up front at the counter and take a buzzer. For your drink you have to take a receipt and go to the bar wait 5-10 minutes for a drink. Then go get your own food. For one this eliminates local jobs I used to be a server so that offends me. But also if I spend $50-$100+ I expect to be served. This isn’t The Habit.
3: The Atmosphere
I will admit the patio is still nice but the restaurant is empty and clearly for a reason.
Very reasonably priced tried the classic burger and fried chicken sandwich with a side of ranch onion rings all was amazing super cute spot with cool bar and cute little store service was great you order and pick up at the counter
