I loved the atmosphere here. Dark, moody, great for catching up with a friend or to take someone on a date that you want to impress. The music and overall sound levels in there make it so conversation flows naturally.
Service was on point. Our server accommodated all of our requests and took care of us very well. Huge kudos there!
The food overall was good albeit either very salty or not salty enough. The mapo tofu and sweet and sour soup I found to be overwhelmingly salty. The mapo tofu in particular I had to eat with a healthy spoonful of rice to endure the saltiness. Sesame noodles and jellyfish salad were very bland in my opinion and I felt like I needed extra sauce or salt for those.
Prices are on the higher end but along the lines of what you would expect for a higher end restaurant in Downtown Denver.
I loved everything we tried — especially the Taiwanese Fried Chicken (perfectly crispy with a sweet-spicy honey drizzle), the Pork Belly Buns (soft, rich, and perfectly balanced), and the Shaved Ice dessert with almond panna cotta (so light and refreshing).
The space itself is cozy and inviting — great for date night or a casual dinner with friends. The cocktails are just as impressive as the food, especially the Baobing Sour and the Mei Mei spritz.
Pig & Tiger combines local Colorado ingredients with big, bold flavors and a ton of personality. If you haven’t been yet, make it a priority. Easily a 10/10 experience.
The crispy fried chicken stole the show, hands down. The chili oil dumplings, Lu Rou Fan (braised pork with rice), and cold noodles were all packed with flavor and beautifully executed.
Service had a few hiccups, with some delays in our order, but the general managers handled it swiftly and were incredibly apologetic. It was opening weekend, and we weren’t in a rush, so it didn’t bother us. Beyond that, the staff were friendly and attentive throughout.
We’ll definitely be back—and we’re already eyeing the rest of the menu!
The cocktails were also all delicious – loved the May Mei and Songkai.
pig & tiger salad – umami, spicy, tangy, loved this and would order again
Lu rou fan – comfort food, so delicious
Fried chicken – the crunch + the chili honey was such a great combination
La beef roll – meat was so tender, more of a LA/Mexican inspiration flavor
Mapo tofu – delicious and reliable
Shaved ice dessert – the pineapple + crunchy bits on top + panna cotta + thai basil – this was a satisfying refreshing close to our meal
Tonight (Christmas Eve) we enjoyed the holiday tasting menu. It was amazing and a great bang for the buck!
They also are great with Gluten Free people! Made adjustments in the menu to accommodate the GF person.
