Loved everything we had! The mei mei cocktail was incredible (and offered zero proof!). We especially loved the details–the chili sauce in the wontons, the eggs in the rice dish, and the spicy orange honey that came with the fried chicken. The shaved ice dessert was nice and refreshing (although not our favorite). The atmosphere was fun as well. Only complaints were we did have to wait for 15 min even though we had a reservation and the chicken was a bit too salty. But definitely worth checking out!

Pig and Tiger is a new Taiwanese fusion restaurant in the LoDo area of Downtown Denver. Looking at it from outside, it may not seem like much, but upon walking in, one can sense that they will have a culinary experience. Do be aware that the only parking in the area is metered and timed street parking.

I loved the atmosphere here. Dark, moody, great for catching up with a friend or to take someone on a date that you want to impress. The music and overall sound levels in there make it so conversation flows naturally.

Service was on point. Our server accommodated all of our requests and took care of us very well. Huge kudos there!

The food overall was good albeit either very salty or not salty enough. The mapo tofu and sweet and sour soup I found to be overwhelmingly salty. The mapo tofu in particular I had to eat with a healthy spoonful of rice to endure the saltiness. Sesame noodles and jellyfish salad were very bland in my opinion and I felt like I needed extra sauce or salt for those.

Prices are on the higher end but along the lines of what you would expect for a higher end restaurant in Downtown Denver.

Pig & Tiger might just be one of the best new restaurants in Denver. This Five Points gem serves incredible Taiwanese-inspired dishes that are creative, flavorful, and beautifully executed.

I loved everything we tried — especially the Taiwanese Fried Chicken (perfectly crispy with a sweet-spicy honey drizzle), the Pork Belly Buns (soft, rich, and perfectly balanced), and the Shaved Ice dessert with almond panna cotta (so light and refreshing).

The space itself is cozy and inviting — great for date night or a casual dinner with friends. The cocktails are just as impressive as the food, especially the Baobing Sour and the Mei Mei spritz.

Pig & Tiger combines local Colorado ingredients with big, bold flavors and a ton of personality. If you haven’t been yet, make it a priority. Easily a 10/10 experience.

What a meal! We enjoyed the jellyfish salad, veggie dumplings, and cold sesame noodles, before having our minds blown by the Beef Roll, which was melt-in-your mouth tender and featuring different cuts of cow. Dessert, a pineapple shaved ice with basil and panna cotta, was incredible and not to be missed. Our opening martinis and shared bottle of sparkling Brut Rose were perfect compliments to everything we enjoyed. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and on point. Big thanks to GM Ashley for the wine recommendation and to the Chefs for stopping by our table to chat about our meal. I can’t wait to return!

We stumbled upon their opening weekend and couldn’t resist checking it out—especially since it’s right in our neighborhood. Not realizing how generous the portions would be, we definitely over-ordered… but absolutely no regrets. Huge kudos to the chefs—everything was delicious!

The crispy fried chicken stole the show, hands down. The chili oil dumplings, Lu Rou Fan (braised pork with rice), and cold noodles were all packed with flavor and beautifully executed.

Service had a few hiccups, with some delays in our order, but the general managers handled it swiftly and were incredibly apologetic. It was opening weekend, and we weren’t in a rush, so it didn’t bother us. Beyond that, the staff were friendly and attentive throughout.

We’ll definitely be back—and we’re already eyeing the rest of the menu!

Will definitely be coming back for the amazing food and great service. So glad there’s finally a restaurant with legitimate tasting Taiwanese flavors. We heard they’ll have seasonal menus and will have traditional Taiwanese breakfast in the future. Note it is on the pricier side.

The cocktails were also all delicious – loved the May Mei and Songkai.

pig & tiger salad – umami, spicy, tangy, loved this and would order again
Lu rou fan – comfort food, so delicious
Fried chicken – the crunch + the chili honey was such a great combination
La beef roll – meat was so tender, more of a LA/Mexican inspiration flavor
Mapo tofu – delicious and reliable
Shaved ice dessert – the pineapple + crunchy bits on top + panna cotta + thai basil – this was a satisfying refreshing close to our meal

Tonight was our second trip to Pig and Tiger. Both times San has been our server and she made it memorable both times.
Tonight (Christmas Eve) we enjoyed the holiday tasting menu. It was amazing and a great bang for the buck!
They also are great with Gluten Free people! Made adjustments in the menu to accommodate the GF person.

This has quickly become my favorite new restaurant in Denver. Incredible ownership and delightful staff. I love an atmosphere with vibey music but also the ability to hear conversation at your table without yelling. The food is delicious. My favorites are the vegetable dumplings with “yum yum sauce” and the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Not greasy, perfectly crispy and flavorful rice to pair. Great wine selection too!!
