Pietro’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant located in the central valley, the heart of wine country. Pietro’s originated in 1956 in Vacaville, California. The patriarch of the Murdaca family, Pietro Murdaca, opened the original location on Cernon Street shortly after immigrating from Southern Italy. In 1985, Pietro and his son Jim came to the valley to open Pietro’s of Lodi. The Murdaca family remains committed to three guiding principles; quality food, customer service, and respect for employees.
Enduring farm-to-fork eatery with old-world flair preparing a family-style menu of Italian classics.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. You definitely will not feel ignored.
If you live in the area or are just passing through, stop by and support local business. You will not leave hungry or disappointed.
I really loved the place..we celebrated my birthday and their service is great.
1. Eggplant parmesan – this was very light and amazing in taste. The side fettucini with Alfredo was the best 5/5
2. Fries – they were okay. Nothing special but normal 3/5
3. Loved the Espresso Martini 5/5
4.their marinara pasta was also good 5/5.
Overall, their hospitality and service is great.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the quality of the space. I started with the Caesar salad, which was a big letdown. The dressing was watery and had almost no flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the pappardelle. It was fine, but nothing memorable, especially at $23. The portion was small and there wasn’t much meat in it.
My mom ordered the New York strip, and that was the most disappointing part of the meal. The steak was tough and bland, she actually had to use the butter from the bread just to give it some flavor and make it edible.
Overall, the prices are high for what you get, and the food simply wasn’t worth it. The space and staff were great, but the kitchen really missed the mark.
2. We split the bruschetta; we both thought the Mona Lisa tasted like juice (dangerously yummy); I had the bucatini—so many clams!; and I finished with a birthday-sized tiramisu. Everything was delicious. I wish they sold the butter they serve with the bread!
3. The new location is gorgeous with its greenhouse motifs. High ceilings and whatnot. Clean bathroom + really sweet service
Would go back and would recommend
Although this restaurant is a solid 45 minute drive for us, I would definitely make the trip for high-quality, delicious Italian. So many things on the menu looked divine, I will certainly be back to sample the selection.
I was visiting the area and a friend suggested we stop here for lunch. Oh boy… what a treat! The place was absolutely packed — at 2:00 PM the next available reservation was at 7:00 PM, which tells you something right away. Luckily, the hostess recommended checking the bar area, and we were seated quickly.
The service was friendly and welcoming, the food came out hot, delicious, and perfectly seasoned, and the drink selection had every kind of option you could imagine. You can tell this place knows what it’s doing.
Between the vibe, the service, and the amazing food, Pietro’s is the kind of restaurant you look forward to coming back to. I’ll definitely be eating here again next time I’m in the area!
