One of my most favorite recent nights here in the city with a group of friends where everything tasted so good and the hospitality was simply put…impeccable. Caesar salad, chicken parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs were standouts. Don’t sleep on the linguine with clams or cottage fries either. Everything was just exactly how you’d want it — generous portions and just really really delicious.
Heres the other thing, we had a friend join us halfway into the meal. He was traveling home from work in Tulsa so we ordered while he was in the car from LGA. Our server gladly pulled up a chair and had an ice cold martini and chicken parm waiting for him when he arrived.
This is a restaurant that should be studied for its service — especially in a place like New York where this kind of attention can be scarce. I had never been to the old location but this new one boasts a large amount of space and seriously perfect vibe perfect for large parties or an intimate date night.
I will be back soon and I hope to see you there!
The Caesar salad is nothing short of legendary: crisp romaine, impeccably balanced dressing, and just the right touch of Parmesan. It is perfection in its simplicity and truly the best Caesar salad in the world.
The Red Snapper Marechiaro is a masterpiece. The fish is delicately prepared, accompanied by clams and a fragrant tomato wine sauce that captures the essence of the Amalfi coast. It embodies elegance and comfort in equal measure and is pure chef’s kiss.
Perhaps most impressive, Pietro’s maintains this same level of excellence even in delivery. The quality, flavor, and presentation travel flawlessly, offering the same exceptional experience you enjoy in the restaurant.
Pietro’s is not just a meal; it is a reminder of why classic Italian cuisine, when done right, never goes out of style.
The Chicken Pietro was cold, poorly prepared, and honestly inedible. The chicken was cut into oversized, tough pieces that were hard to chew, and the dish was drowning in greasy, fried vegetables. Absolutely no care or balance.
The eggplant parmesan was embarrassing to call Italian — soggy, oily, and completely lacking flavor. I’ve had better meals at fast-casual chainsor even supermarkets.
There are far better options nearby. Save your money and your appetite.
The “Famous Chopped Salad” was great. It has a good mix of veggies in with the greens and the dressing is a good complement.
My main course was the chicken parmesan with a half order of fettuccini alfredo. The chicken parmesan’s pictures on Google Maps were why I came and it exceeded my expectations. The fettuccini alfredo was likewise delicious.
I would be remiss if I did not also comment on the service – top notch. David, the manager, and Damian, my waiter, were both great and I got everything I wanted. I will visit definitely visit again.
