Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well-executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.
Fried chicken headlines a menu of Southern specialties, including signature pies for dessert.

Their pies! I count my lucky stars that Pies and Thighs bake fabulous Apple Pies, Sour Cherry and Pear Pies as well as Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pies. I am going to order Banana Cream Pie this weekend and eventually request for a whole pie made of all 4 delicious flavors for Easter Sunday brunch. Régis from the takeout crew has quite outstanding finesse in working orders as well as packaging. Congratulations, Brooklyn, on having one more to add to its claim as the birth place of top American pies! Thank you for the occasional teleportation to heaven, PNT!

The service was great! All smiles and warm welcomes! The food was ok. The coffee was very bitter like it’d been sitting out a while. He buttermilk tenders were awesome! Super juicy and buttermilky, the fried part just slides off, but ilike it! The collard greens were nice also. The one thing I didn’t have was pie (pie and coffee go together for me and the coffee was just too bitter to want pie). Nice little corner spot with a nice little vibe. I’d definitely go for some cornbread and a few chapters of a book.

Came here with my mom today and it is her favorite spot to eat. The food is delicious! Although the space is small they accommodate you and still make you feel comfortable. The chicken is super moist (yes I said it), the cornbread is amazing as well. Our server Natalia was amazing, super attentive and absolutely gorgeous her personality made our visit even more enjoyable. If you haven’t been here run don’t walk!

The service was friendly, proactive and helpful. The food was outstanding. The building is Hopper-esque. They have a tight, focused menu and the only dish that appealed to me was sold out at 7.30pm on a Sunday. Sadly. So i had biscuits and gravy. Outstanding gravy. Not a fan of biscuits, they looked awesome though! I would definitely take a southerners there again.

I had a quick order and puck up in this sweet place and couldn’t be happier with the service provided along with the food quality. From the first seconds I entered the place I got this warm, homie, cozy dinner feeling. Girls who work here are super nice. One of them helped me with my order customization as I don’t eat all the ingredients offered initially on the menu. She was very understanding and real professional. Food was prepared clean and fast. I lived the sandwich I ordered. There were some tempting pies on display. One of the tables was a family with little kids and they all were having a blast! The rest of the guests also seemed to be very comfortable. You could tell this place is more than just a place to grab a bite. Definitely coming back. Prices are fair, flavor was amazing, people and the facility also amazing!

I absolutely loved my meal at Pies n’ Thighs! The combination of crispy chicken tenders with the incredible, buttery biscuit was heavenly comfort food. The baked beans were the perfect savory side. I finished with a slice of their pecan pie, which was rich and perfectly sweet. Highly recommend!

Pies’n’Thighs is one of the best spots in Williamsburg for southern comfort food, handmade pastries and local craft beer. Their cinnamon roll is incredible – chefs kiss! It’s soft, buttery, you can tell they’re fresh from that morning – think Cinnabon but better. I’m always down for a sweet treat and everything here hits – the pies, the pecan crunch donut, ugh everything is just so good when it’s made from scratch and so much care.
The Hippie Banjo for brunch (hello Sprouts!) and the Fried Catfish Plate are my other favorites. I love their sandwich bread (pro tip I think you can buy it) and the tarter sauce for that catfish is perfection. They also carry really good local craft beer from other half, evil twin and Grimm, which makes dinner and weekend brunch even better.
The staff is always friendly and knowledgable- they know exactly what to recommend- the GM even told Me about their new ice cream shop, Heap’s Ice Cream ,where they use Pies’n’Thighs pastries for ice cream sandwiches (like what, def going next time) Last week I tried the chicken tenders (I think they’re only in house) and they were juicy, crunchy and full of flavor. The sauces were great too but I’m a Ranch girl through and through.
The food and drinks give an elevated vibe at night, but it’s also the perfect cozy bakery to stop for coffee and pastries on the way to work. I highly recommend Pies’n’Thighs – good food, good vibes and the nicest staff.

The food that we ordered was mouthwatering and made us feel as though we were in Atlanta instead of Williamsburg. The catfish was flavorful and reminiscent of southern Friday-night fish fry, but boneless. The shoestring fries and cornbread were nice additions, but the black-eyed peas, while ultimately flavorful with a reminiscent tang of Louisiana Tabasco peppers in vinegar, were served cold more like a wet bean salad that a traditional southern side of peas. Absolutely recommend the Palmer! The only negative was that we entered there were no tables and we asked if we could be seated outside. Were were told that even though it was cold out that it was fine and that they would be out to take our order, but after 15 minutes of waiting no one ever came out and when a table opened up it was given to a couple that came in after us. While we were able to get the next table that opened up, we were ultimately not happy with that aspect of our experience at the restaurant and prevents me from leaving 5 stars, though I would be interested in returning the next time I am in the area to see if we have a better experience the next time.

Classic diner atmosphere with good beverages and desserts. We got the vegetarian “chicken” biscuit and three sides – coleslaw, black eyed peas, and mac n cheese. The biscuit on which the chicken sandwich was served was hot and delicious, and it was dressed with a honey butter and hot sauce. The sides were good as well, though the mac n cheese was nothing to write home about. The real reason we came was the banana cream pie which was incredible – a perfect dessert. We also had a cup of coffee and the sour cherry lemonade.
