This is honestly the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. You can genuinely taste how fresh the ingredients are, and it feels like they really take pride in what they’re serving. Every roll tasted thoughtfully made, not rushed.

I ordered the Yakisoba roll (highly recommend, especially if it’s your first time). It was super filling and had perfectly cooked shrimp tempura with the best crunch. The flavors were balanced and satisfying without being overwhelming.
I also tried the Dam Good Roll, and the name says it all. It had just the right amount of heat from the sriracha and jalapeño, giving it a nice kick without being too spicy. The fact that it’s fried just takes it to another level.
Lastly, the Rangoon Roll was such a pleasant surprise. It had the perfect sweet and savory balance, and the cream cheese made it smooth and easy to enjoy. Definitely a unique roll that I’d order again.
Overall, everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and well made. I’m already looking forward to coming back, especially to try their hibachi under the stars when it launches.

I NEVER POST REVIEWS.. SO THIS SHOULD SAY SOMETHING!!!!

I drove about 45 minutes because I heard great things about the sushi here and BOY IS IT GOOD!!!!
I got the Dynamite Shrimp which was literally so good I’ve never had anything like it. My husband got the Ring of fire and he just had to order a second. Mason who made the food for us, he was so excited and welcoming. He gave us some great recommendations. I definitely will make the drive to just eat there again!!!!!

Pier Sushi is 100% worth the hype!
I made the drive all the way from San Antonio to Canyon Lake just for this spot, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and the staff is some of the friendliest you’ll ever meet.
The food? Absolutely delicious! Huge portions, amazing prices, and so many tasty options that you’ll want to try everything. It’s also super family-friendly, with great choices even for the little ones.
If you’re anywhere near the area or even if you’re not do yourself a favor and make the trip. You won’t regret it!

If you’re looking for some of the best sushi in Canyon Lake, TX – make sure to stop by Pier Sushi! All the rolls are so tasty and customizable and the staff is super friendly. We got the Dam Good roll (+cream cheese) and the Canyon Roll with the gyoza as an appetizer to-go. Everything was delicious & filling as usual, looking forward to coming back again!

We had a great late lunch/dinner here the other day. It’s a very unassuming place but the food and service is superb. We got the Godzilla roll, a spicy scallop roll and some salmon and yellowtail nigiri. The rolls were served with a fabulous home made ponzu sauce that stole the show. They don’t serve alcohol but you may BYOB and there’s a bar next door where you can get a beer and walk it over without an issue. The place is very clean and the folks are very pleasant. The chopsticks are high quality which I so appreciate. Also they were quick to invite us to sit wherever we wanted as opposed to stuffing us where it was most convenient for them, well done! Also their prices are so reasonable!

I’m a huge fan of this little sushi restaurant! I usually go once a month to try out their delicious entrées. The fried rice is amazing!! It’s so buttery and fluffy that it’s better than most hibachi restaurants. The cashier’s are always accommodating and even remember you when you come to dine in. I love their sushi rolls and the variety of options. Hoping they are able to open up again soon!

My Favorite places to dine are small business owned restaurants instead of Chain restaurants and Pier Sushi is another reason why!! Family owned restaurant whose primary focus is quality & providing exceptional service!! Very fresh Sashimi Sushi served at the perfect chilled temperature. Great variety of well known & new Rolls to choose from! I’m very interested in their Pier Bowls next time we go back. Liquor license is in the works but you are welcomed to BYOB!! Very affordable & good variety menu! Very customer focused Husband & wife locally owned Restaurant!

This is probably the best sushi I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. Chef Eric and Chef Edy are so friendly and accommodating. I love that there’s keto options too since I’m pregnant, there’s only so much I can eat at most sushi places but there’s a ton of options here for me. 10/10 will be making the drive back after the baby so I can eat all of their rolls.

2024 update : We’re now a family of 5 and the service and food is still as good as ever. The keto options are still available (though I no longer need them) and Chef Edy still creates new plates.

Love how fresh the fish taste and the Salmon is buttery.
The atmosphere is great and clean, the music choices are different each time but enjoyable. This last time I went, they ran out of steamed rice for the poke bowls, do not choose the noodles instead of fried rice, wasn’t a good mesh. I thought. But I still like them and the other items are all worth trying if you’re a full sushi lover.
My favorite thing to get is salmon nigiri and they do thick cuts and it’s buttery and fresh tasting. Best thing here.

So happy to discover this lil sushi restaurant! Finally a good sushi place in canyon lake! We got the wonton nachos for an appetizer and oh man, they were so good spicy tuna atop seaweed salad with crispy crunchy wonton bed!!
Godzilla and the saggy dog specialty rolls were amazing! Everything tasted so fresh and clean. Cannot wait to come back and try more menu items. Please go and support them, I never want them to leave.
