We visited Pier 31 want for the first time on a Saturday for lunch with 4 adults and 1 toddler.
Pier 31 is a unique open air bar and eatery with a wood fired pizza oven and a decent menu with good variety. We ordered 2 jumbo shrimp cocktails, 3 pizzas and a PB&J off the kid’s menu. We had about a whole pizza left to take home.
The service was great. Morgan was our lead server and even though the staff were young, their experience, energy and excellent teamwork created a first class dining experience.
This is a family friendly establishment and there are even games for kids (young and old) inside and out.
Plenty of dock space for locals to boat in, jump out and have lunch or dinner.
Highly recommended that you join in the fun!

Awesome views. Awesome food. Awesome staff. Very nice on a sunny afternoon or a beautifully lit evening watching reflections across the waterway.

Pier 53 is a must! Incredible view and setting. Welcoming friendly service – comfortable seating options inside and outside, huge bar with lots of stools on 3 sides – some outside – huge draft beer list, full bar, frozen drinks, great menu reimagined for summer 2024, pizza recipe is new and the pepperoni/sausage was excellent – super cheesy. Pool table – open air lawn with lawn games, come by boat – plenty of docks – live music – menu specials – incredible sunsets

Service was poor with spotty moments of attention. No one greeted our party for seating and after a very uncomfortable wait, we needed to approach the bartender for a waitress. When she finally arrived she was quite short and gave a strong message that she was too busy to wait on us to the point of almost demanding we spew out our order.
Crusts on the wood fired pizzas were charred and toppings of cheese, pepperoni and garlic were as well … edible but not much better. All the pizzas were exceedingly oily ….. a sign of inferior cheese and over cooking to the point of separation.

Not recommending this location … EDIT: at this time. When/if we return this review may change.

EDIT: Bryan makes a good point – wood fired pizza is not for everyone. Knowing George Shenk since before he started American Flatbread and enjoying what may be the beginning of the popularity of wood fired pizza, I do judge all wood fired pizza against that Gold Standard.

Had our 30 year reunion here last night. The food is delicious, employees awesome and you can’t beat the atmosphere, especially the gorgeous sunsets. Owners truly care about every customer they have and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night!

Our pizza was burnt. The bartender saw it and ignored us until she brought the bill knowing she didn’t want to take the pizza back to the kitchen. Never asked how the food was or to get more drinks. Awful experience. Never again.

Enjoyed steamed clams special on Monday and Margaritas special along with great deep fried chicken wings and a chicken wrap. Very friendly, attentive service and didn’t have to wait long at all. What they described as a “seasoned butter” tasted more like oil but the wait staff assured me it was butter. Everything else was great. The chairs were not quite matched to the table as they were very low – an added cushion might have helped.

Found this right-on-water place near the campground we were at. It was definitely worth the stop and the money. All the doors were open and it was like eating outside. We had the Philly cheesesteak and the Pulled Pork sandwich. OMG…. so much food and SO delicious.

I’m sorry but the food menu is sad and disappointing. The setting is great, the place is physically clean and well kept, but the clientele and the ownership leave a lot to be desired. We came on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in August. Weather was perfect, there was almost no one there, our waitress was terrific (younger female I didnt catch her name) but the food and the music were sad and pathetic.
I’m sorry it’s just true. No personality or distinctive anything. The water view and location are doing all the work here, plus your staff.
Give people a reason to come. Better food, better music, and something for your staff to look forward to: a busy restaurant that will get them a living wage.
